If your doctor doesn't have weekend hours, I'd go to a walk-in urgent care place like Ready Med or whatever you have near you. They'll test your urine and give you a diagnosis and plan of action. Your doctor has an on-call number so use it to get more info if necessary. In the time you spent writing this question, let alone waiting for answers to come in from all over he country, you could have had a real answer from your own physician.

Don't go to the ER please, but don't wait - antibiotics will help you more (if indicated) if you start sooner. You have the flu too, but just wear a mask when you go to the clinic so you don't infect everyone else. Most clinics/hospitals have them right where you walk in.

Either way you need diagnostic testing. A urinalysis is your best bet. If you have a kidney infection or UTI you’ll require antibiotics and the sooner the better. Please go to the doctor.

You really need to call your doctor. It could be a coincidence ... or not. What is a URI?

I have had many, many (many) kidney stones and developed an infection from one of them. I did spike a fever a few days into it, but I did not experience any cold symptoms (no runny nose, sore throat or coughing).

I think it's a mistake for you to try and figure out what this is. That's your doctor's job. Make a phone call. Likely you'll talk to a nurse who will ask you a bunch of questions. You may or may not need to be seen, but that needs to be the doctor's call, not yours.

Call your doctor.

What did your Dr tell you?

We are NOT Dr.'s and we have no idea how to diagnose your health issues over the internet.

GO to the Dr., get diagnosed and get well.

Obviously we can't diagnose you. I think you'd have to go get tested for the UTI and kidney infection. They do tests for those.

Flu - you know. You can have all three at once. I had 3 infections at one time and that was nasty. Antibiotics helped me. Until you go in, you won't get better if that's the case. I'd be calling and just talking to someone who can actually advise you.

My presonal thought is (for what it is worth) would your back not hurt?

You have to see the doctor for this. Like Diane said, go to an urgent care center.
