I was wondering if anyone out there had any feedback about Alli? I have already started a workout regimen, and I have started to eat healthier. I am just looking for some added help from a diet supplement.

What can I do next?

I've been on it for about a week, it doesn't make you jittery like the other ones, with all the possible side effects... it keeps me accountable to keep my food to a lower fat content, so far very happy, I'm down a 5 pounds I think most of it's water so I'm hoping to continue a steady 2-3 pounds a week.

I have not tried it, but I have heard a lot of really bad things about it. I have great success on the South Beach Diet without supplements other than vitamins.

I have tried Alli, though not for long enough to get a sense as to whether or not it is really as effective as advertised. The 'treatment effects' are real so you definitely have to pay attention to how you take the pills and what you're eating. I didn't have a difficult time in terms of my schedule being disrupted by bathroom trips or anything, but I'm sure it's different for everyone.

Honestly, if you've already overcome the hurdle of working out and eating healthier, that's 90% of the battle. You could try Alli to see if it boosts your weight loss, but GREAT JOB on working out and eating better - keep going! :)

Hi - I got a starter kit of Alli and decided about a month ago to try them. I took them for a couple of days and then stopped. If you eat ANY fat at all, it comes out of you! Your poop is oily and greasy, and you get a discharge that stinks! Read the instructions and the side effects carefully because I believe it says something about maybe having to wear a pad because of the discharge. I would say if you are going to use it, you need to be eating basically no fat, or just be prepared for the side effects!

I used it for 3 months, and lost 10 pounds. I only stopped because I had hit a plateau - but that has happened to me all my life when losing weight, and is worse now that I am older. The only thing that seems to work for me is to use one diet for a couple of months, then switch...otherwise my metabolism catches on and stops ;) (I am 38 years old with a 20 month old daughter...gained 60 lbs when preggers because I was on bed rest). I plan to go back on it when this diet slows (South Beach).

So the scoop on Alli - use the web site for meal suggestions and info. You MUST know how much fat you are eating, and if you go over, you will have problems. I only had on instance of "treatment effects" and it was when I was unsure how much fat was in something when I ate out. You will see some "oil" when you go to the bathroom, but frankly that never really bothered me since I didn't see it any other time....I mean, it is not as though pooping is an especially attractive process anyway, so why does that really matter if it becomes slightly less so in the toilet?

It keeps you really honest about what you eat. Read labels, and in restaurants, ASK if it is not listed. But, if you really follow the program, you won't have problems. Anyone who has had problems (that I have encountered), was not really paying as close attention to the fat content as they thought they were. For example, measure your salad dressing and cooking oil - do not "eyeball" anything!

I am happy to give you more details if you want them...just let me know!

Not to add to the negative, but I understand the constant trips to the potty strip your body of nutrients and can interfere with any medications. I've found that green tea extract helps. It gives a gentle boost of energy and helps metabolism. Keep up the good work!

Im currently using ALLI and I love it. It makes me accountable for what i eat, which is hte point right?
Yes the oily poops are icky, but all poop is.
My sister lost about 40lbs on alli and has now since stopped using and is now a healthy eater.
So Im on a mission to loose my baby fat and eat healthier!

Its not really a diet pill its a lifestyle change, because you choose to eat healthier and smaller portions and you soon do so without realizing because youve became accustomed to eating better.

It's great. It has helped me lose some weight and no jittery side effects. Just don't indulge in anything too greasy as it WILL end up coming out the other end. LOL. But at least it doesn't stay in your body.

Hi, I think you should consult your doctor and have a complete fisacal done. I was having a hard time losing weight after my last child. In fact I was gaining not loosing. I found out it was my thyroid that was giving me problems. I am now treating this problem and eating healthier and working out. (the fun way - chasing my 3 yr old)
If you still feel the need to take a pill to loose weight. Your doctor will be able to tell you whether it will work for you.

Hope this helps

Hello I.,
I don't know anything about Alli but I do have some information you will enjoy reading about. With my Home Based business I work to provide "Wellness Solutions" for any who are looking. Go to http://www.wellnesssolutions.sababulider.com It will ask for your name, number & email. It won't be sold. It will allow you to go into my site and watch the movies on our two great products. Both of our products have Adaptogens, which are natural herbs that help the cells handle stress. We've added great anti-oxidants and between the two the body can then build healthy cells and a healthy body.

I have been able to rebuild a damages liver over the past 3 1/2 years on the products as well a eliminate most of the symptoms of MS. I have a new life. I'm working with the weight loss formula now and love it. Both products taste great. You can also go to www.teachsaba.com and read many stories.

Take a look at the sites and give me a call.
You know I. we have many stay at home moms working on our team. No hype, just great products, opportunity and support. I look forward to coaching your on your "Wellness Journey".

dont do it!
I purchased it needing some help loosing weight and impressed with the FDA approval, but it after entering my into into the website (only after you get the code after purchase) I found they alloted me up to 19 grams of fat a meal! I rarely eat that much fat! Also, the reported side effects were so horrible I was terrified of trying them. I took a total of 2 pills and am stuck with a very expensive bottle of pills I wont ever take.
I found that "cortasol" from costco in liquid form worked farely well unless I was busy out all day. And hoodia/greentea helps with the hunger.
Honestly, a low carb, high protien lots of fruit and veggies is the way to go. And you dont have to exercise to loose weight. I know. I cant exercise due to my disability and I lost 20lbs in 6 months just watching what I ate. Also, Rush Limbaugh (radio talkshow) lost 60 without excercise. Just remember that even if you treat yourself to icecream or cake doesnt mean you are done for. I just watched my calories and ate more protien and watched the weight slowly but securely recede. its a lifestyle not a diet.

I am big on no jitter, easy changes, and a free website for mealplans and online support. Try GoFigure8.com. They have shakes made from veg. protein, so it works even with people with thyroid issues. There is an entire free meal plan, and calorie counter available. I love it because I buy them 35% off so I save and I am not hungry between meals. I have to make myself eat a snack because they say it boosts your metabolic rate.

If you would like to get them once you check it out online, send me an email and I will walk you through. ____@____.com.

My mom tried this and unless you're about to move your bed and belongings to your bathroom I wouldn't even consider trying it. If you have a regular workout routine, having to go to the bathroom a lot probably wouldn't be a great thing.

Just do some research on it and read the packets on it to see if it would fit your lifestyle....hope it turns out!!
