Has anyone tried this to lose weight? I have about 10 pounds I would like to lose before I get pregnant again, and we are going to start trying for #2 at the first of February. With my first pregnancy, it didn't take very long, so we are hoping for that again, but I would like to drop a few pounds before the gain begins again!

What can I do next?

I personally wouldn't take anything like that to lose weight, and especially not before you are planning to become pregnant. If you want to lose an extra 10 pounds I would highly advise you try weightwatchers. I have used this program to not only lose weight, but also to maintain my weight. I have tried many diets, and many pills, and honestly weightwatchers has been my only success. You can even access this program online. It is a wonderful healthy lifestyle that you could even utilize once you got pregnant. Good luck to you!

I agree with the others not to take anything like that before getting pregnant. Just increase your daily activity and stick to healthy food. I have lost 23lbs in 3 months with Weight Watchers, maybe that's something you wanna look into. I just do it online because I don't have time to go to any meetings and it worked great! I lost more then 10lbs in the first month.
Good luck!

Hi R.,

I am glad you asked about this product and glad to see the responces. Not for me for sure now. I agree with others that this is a lifestyle change. My rule is to eat right at least 80% of the time and exercise at least 3 days each week. I am always afraid of "weight loss" products as you never know what is in them. I personally use Arbonne's weight loss products as they are pure and absolutely no ephedra. I use the protein shakes to make smoothies, the detox tea, the energy chews and now the energy drink. They just came out with the energy drink that is unbelievable!! I have not had coffee or pop since I started using these. No calories either!

I am a consultant with Arbonne and can help you get these products to try if you are interested.

Good Luck and Congrats!

I wanted to try it but then I heard one of my friends boyfriend talking about how he had to quit b/c "its just not natural to be punished with anal leakage if you eat to much fat without realizing it" lol, so I figured I would just stick with it the good old fashion way. You and I have allot in common :) I have about 10lbs I want to loose before next baby but I think I may already be pregnant.
:( oh well, I'll just have to walk on our teadmill for my first 3 monthes and hopefully work reallllly hard after next baby.

As long as you are working out while your pregnant you should be just fine. Make sure not to over do it. Walking everyday is what works best. Make sure you keep your heart rate up for at least 30 minutes. Carry 3lbs or 5lbs free weights with you and then you can work your arms at the same time. If you have access to a gym, the bikes are great. If you feel really tired at least try to do something 5 days a week.
Also remember that in your first trimester your body is working out all the time with the growth of the baby.
Try to stay away from the pills and the fast fix. Your body needs you to condition it for the future and the only thing that will truly do that is a healthy lifestyle of excercise and right eating.
Stay positive and God Bless.

I did try this stuff and believe me; you CAN NOT eat anything at all with grease in it. The anal leakage is very true! I would go to the bathroom and it looked like a fluorescent lava lamp exploded in the toilet. Not to mention, one time I was out shopping with my husband and he was like "what did you sit on?" I went to the bathroom (and of course I wore khaki shorts that day)it leaked through! I had to buy new shorts to wear the rest of the day. Needless to say, I did not take this stuff for long. I am sure this probably works fine; but you have to follow the rules to the extreme! Good luck!

HI, well I agree not to take any pills before trying to get pregnant. But I did take alli for 3 1/2 months with great success. The whole leakage thing I only had it happen once when I went out and ate Chicken parmasan at an italian resturant (and Iknew I shouldn't have eaten it) but I only had only stool that had the oily substance in it. Hence the side effect is intented to keep you on tract. You really have to monitor your fat intake, and if your not willing to do it, then don't take alli. I lost 21 Ilbs with it, and only had to stop cause I couldn't afford it any more. But be true to your body, especially if your intending to become pregnant soon, exercise and healthy eating. Good luck :)

A friend of mine started taking Alli on the 1st. By the 4th she stared having an unexplained anal discharge. On the 8th, her doctor explained that this was a side effect of Alli. My friend stopped taking the drug immediately and had to purchase new under garments. My advice to go to the Alli website and do some research. I think you'll be surprised. There is more negative talk about Alli than positive in their own chat room. It seeems that my friend isn't the only one who's had to buy new underware. Be warned.

The thing about Alli is if you don't intend on taking it long term, it's not going to do much good. It works by blocking 25% of the fat you intake. Once you stop taking Alli, your body will start absorbing that 25% that was being blocked before and they weight will start coming back slowly. This pill is not a replacement for a lifestyle change.

Since you are planning on getting pregnant so soon, I would be leary of doing anything except eating healthy and exercising. Even if it's just adding more stairs, walking or an at home video. Also if you are prone to morning sickness you will want that extra 10 pounds to start off with! :)

Good Luck!
