My 11 month old is currently not eating soy, dairy and gluten due to excema (gluten) and gas (soy/dairy). I wll have some family in town for his first birthday and would rather not have to bake. Anyone know of a good allergy bakery online or in town?
Thanks

What can I do next?

Check this lady out! She's got a website and is on etsy and facebook. Her stuff looks great and gets good reviews! She's automatically vegan and gluten free, but works with all allergies.

She's super nice and will customize your items. I've talked to her about doing stuff for an upcoming birthday!

Good luck!

Oops, forgot to mention that she is in North County somewhere and so you can pick up from her!

For online bakeries check out the resources at Kids With Food Allergies; http://www.kidswithfoodallergies.org/
Otherwise, Whole Foods in La Jolla Village or Hillcrest will have allergen free baked goods. My son is also soy (skin issues) and dairy (gas/tummy issues) free. It can be hard to find prepared baked goods that are both soy and dairy free. Good Luck!

LOVE GNI Bakery (Gluten Not Included) in Escondido. It's off I15 and Centre City Parkway on the East side of the 15. They are closed Sun and Mon. I've been going there for about 2 years now to get our breads and baked goods. Love their pies and they made my daughters birthday cake this past year. Best tasting GF bread I have ever had. My kids and hubby love the cookies (Snickerdoodles are they fave).

Between my daughter and I we have allergies to
wheat, nuts, soy, shelfish, and several other things.

Talk to the baker or owner about your child's allergies and they can make substitutes. When my niece is in town she is allergic to EVERYTHING! So they have made cupcakes and cakes for us without egg and dairy. I supply the egg replacer and then they use applesauce or something similar in exchange for the milk or dairy.

If you haven't already checked out this site, it gives pretty good list of GF or Allergy friendly places to eat in San Diego county

I've never been there but I hear wonderful things about Stephanie's Bakery in Ocean Beach. I'm not sure about the soy & gluten but I know that they are vegan. I have a feew friend's that are vegan and they swear by that place. My kid's school had a unit on nutrition and went to an organic farm, then People's Co-op, and ended up at Stephanie's and LOVED it!!! People's Co-op on Voltaire would be another place to look. They have so much stuff like that. Actually Whole Foods in La Jolla has a lot of gluten-free food. It might be worth it to call their bakery as well.

Wow, you have choices!!

Good Luck!
