Hi,

My hubby and I are looking for a great getaway for our 10 year anniversary next year and we're looking into the all inclusive resorts such as Sandals or Beaches. Does anyone have any recommendations towards these and are they truly worth it? We plan on leaving our kids with a relative so it will be just the two of us.

Thanks Everyone!!

If you don't want any kids around go to Sandals (adults only). My hubby and I however went to a different one in Negril, Jamaica called Hedonism II. It was a super inclusive resost (no kids anywhere)! Food was great and plenty of fun.

My husband and I did Couple Swept Away in Negril Jamaica and it was heaven. Only couples are allowed, no kids, all inclusive, and it was so private unlike the high rise resorts. There were only 4 couples to a bungalow, we had a great view, it was wonderful. We are planning on going back for our 10 year!

I haven't been to either, but I think Beaches is a family friendly resort while Sandals is couples only. We went to Moon Palace in Cancun, Mexico and we had a great time. Moon Palace is also family friendly, but there are others run by the same company that are couple only. I think the website is www.palaceresorts.com.

My husband and I went to the Sandals All Inclusive resort in Ochos Rios, Jamaica. It's a couple's only resort and we had a blast!!!

My recommendation would be a cruise! My hubby and I went last year and this year we are going again with the kids. We took a Carnival cruise, had an ocean view, rented a jeep in Cozumel, took an excursion in Progresso, parking, tips, etc, totaled $1200. I think all married couples should go on a cruise. We were pampered all week and had the best time. I have never been that relaxed in my life!

We like the Riu Palace in Playacar (Playa del Carmen) and the Riu Toucan is also nice. There are more kids at the Toucan though.

I hope you both have passports. If you do, there are some great deals on all inclusive resorts in Cancun, Mexico. My hubby and I went to a nearby Puerto Moreles not too far from the airport. The resort is called Secrets Silversands Resort. It is a perfect blend of romance, the sights, sounds, smells. The food is great for the most part (skip the Japanese restaurant) at their 5 restaurants. Best of all, you can pay for a shuttle to drive you there and you will have so much to do that you will not even think of going off the property! It is worth the price you pay. Just find a good deal on expeadia or priceline. They always have special deals.

It will be so romantic! My hubby and I went there on our honeymoon in September. We plan to go back as often as we can to renew our continued romance. :)

Good luck!
