Aflac Independent Sales Associate???

I know you posted this awhile ago but if you are still looking for a not so time consuming work at home job I am having a lot of success at what I am doing. I also have two girls. A 3 1/2 year old and a 15 month old. I started doing this because of the opportunity not the money but the money is great too! Let me know if you are interested in learning more. I acutally took the class online. I work in Advertising and I was looking for something else to do, I like working and thought Aflac would be great, But the only problem was, after failing the state test 2 times, and feeling like a loser, come to find the course online did not give you everything you needed to know, which meant I was not the only one, no one was passing if they took the course online. I lost trust in the online course. I did not have time to take a weeks vacation to go to a class. so just be careful if you decide to do this, maybe it has improved. So good luck to you, The kids are only small for a short time so Enjoy them. :)

You know, I haven't heard about it. Where did you find the position? I'm checking with a couple of other boards for work at home moms to see if they have any good information for you and I'll let you know what I find out.

In the meantime, think about how much time you are willing to put into something and how much you want out of it. Be realistic though because if you want a full time income you may not have to put in full time hours, but you'll probably have to put in at least 10 a week depending on what it is. Think about what you really want income wise and do something you want to do otherwise if you're just doing it for the money, it won't work. I've been there! lol

I have been in the insurance/finanacial planning industry for 2 years. I started off as an independent rep for a major insurance company and it was the hardest, most difficult job I have ever held. In my case, the company does not give you leads, so I started off with a TON of cold calling!! They also do not pay a salary-it was 100% commission. So, needless to say, my family and I put a whole year's worth of salary on credit card. I wanted so badly to make it big in this business. You have to be an EXCELLENT sales person with a HUGE pool of prospects (my company told me to walk in the first day of training with 200 names to call). For me, the sales side did not work-after a year there was another agent in the office (who was hittin it big) & looking for an assistant. So, I became his assistant & it is working out a lot better.

Also, from what I have learned...if a company does give you a salary, it is for a brief period of time while you are establishing your business & it is phased out or you are obligated to pay it back. I dont know about aflec though.
