Hello Mothers,

I am curious if anyone has given birth at one of the three facilites I am researching.

1. Roosevelt Hospital--Birthing Center
2. St. Vincent's--Birthing Center
3. Brooklyn Birthing Center

Any recommendations or information about either of these places would be much appreciated.

Thank you so much,

L.

I gave birth to my son at the Roosevelt Birthing Center-- it was wonderful. The nurses were beyond fantastic and the room was perfectly comforting and cozy. Baby slept between husband and I that night. I couldn't have asked for a more wonderful birth experience. However you must be 5 cm dilated before you can be admitted into the birthing center and the triage there was horrible. My advice-- wait as long as you can before going to the hospital, then hopefully you won't have too long of a wait getting into the birthing center. Good luck and have an amazing birth!

I gave birth (twice) at the Women's Health and Birthing Pavilion of Morris Heights Health Center. It is located on Burnside Avenue in the Bronx, very accessible by public transportation.

I can't recommend it highly enough. Amazing midwives and caring staff. It is the oldest stand-alone birth centers in the city. Feel free to contact me if you want to discuss it.

My daughter used the Brooklyn birthing center a year ago. She was very pleased with the midwives and the entire experience. She is pregnant again and will be having the baby at the BBC.
