Hi there mamas! I'm in charge of a craft fair this fall and am wondering where I should advertise to reach lots of people. I thought the newspaper, but do any of you actually read it? I'm not talking full page color ads or anything, but I'm open to hearing any of your ideas.

It will be in St.Charles area

What can I do next?

If it is for a church fundraiser, many churches will publish craft fairs in their bulletins or post it on a bulletin board. Post it at your child's daycare or, if in school, see if teacher(s) will allow a flyer to go home with the children for their parents to read and especially if the school has a newsletter. I also provided all the vendors participating in the fair with a stack of flyers and asked them to pass it onto their customers. In the flyers, I also posted a complete list of the vendors along with their specialty items. Also, large, brightly colored signs (neon are best) directing people to your fair. Sometimes the Suburban Journals will offer discounted ads for craft fairs depending on the organization. E-mail a flyer to all your friends and ask them to e-mail it to all their friends. It is amazing how many people you can reach via the internet. Good Luck!!

Facebook is a good networking sight. Also might want to contact local cable outlet to ask for pricing info on thier community bulletin board pages. Good luck! :)

Hi my name is T. Billington and I am a rep for BeautiControl. I have a mobile spa business. I have the same spa treatments and anti-aging products that you can get at your local spas for 1/3 of the cost. I know that you do not know me and you get bombarded with all of the other direct sales companies but I want to show you that I am different! I could help you a few ways one is I GUARANTEE ALL of my products if it does not work the way I tell you it should you get your money back from me no questions just good business, second I will send you free samples so you can try it before you would ever buy anything, third I promise that you will get the best service possible I own this business and this is how I support my family. You have nothing to lose also we have skin care that is comparable to high end department store. I can also set up appointments to do consultations for skin care, anti-aging, spa, and makeovers.

Are you looking for anymore vendors and do you have someone from BeatuiControl?

I would check with Suburban Journals for your area, maybe Stltoday.com, and of course, tons of people read Craigslist, so that is a good, free way to advertise - maybe post it with garage sales/estate sales? Good luck!

I check out the midrivers weekly magazine that comes in the mail (I cannot remember the exact name of the publication, I will email you if I can think of it). I always look there to see what local stuff is going on in St. Charles and St. Peters.
