Anyone know of a good acne product I could try? My forehead looks like a teenager's! I use Proactiv but it doesn't seem to be working as well as it used to.
Thanks for any info!

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

Thanks so much for the info.
Thanks for the reminder Monique. I do have bangs. I need to make a better effort to keep them off my forehead. If that doesn't work then I'm going to try Zap It. And if that doesn't work I think I'll try Mary Kay- thanks Renee.

This guy seems to have found the answer: Acne.org. If you go to his web site, click on "Get Clear" and follow his instructions (to the letter!) you will have clear skin. I used his process on both of my teen-agers, who both had different acne issues - but both were BAD - and we had amazing results in a short amount of time.

I liked that it was inexpensive - since I was treating 2 kids - with products you can buy at the local drugstore. He sells a product line that he developed and is very reasonable, but I went ahead and found equivalent "store brands" to use with his process.

My kids were pleased with the results, although it was quite a commitment for a 14 and 15 year-old. We are able to keep their acne under control by just occasionally getting militant with the products.

It is hard, especially in the hot weather. Try the st. ives green tea products. they have a cleanser and a scrub.another thing to try to do is to do a mask and see if it helps. I have also stuff that neutrogena makes for the acne. I have seen it sold in walmart and target. good luck

Hi A.,

Our family uses a natural product called Zap-it. It has a four step process much like Proactiv but I have heard from people that have used both that the Zap-it is better. I also recommend an absorbable multivitamin/mineral complex. Nutrition and a healthy immune system can keep the skin clear. That means dodge processed and fast food if you can!

Regards,

M.

Mary Kay Cosmetics has the best acne treatment products. I've had quite a few of my customers come to me from ProActive and feel that Mary Kay works much better. If you would like to have information post back a reply and I can get you some of our Acne Treatment gel to try.

First and foremost keep your hair off of your skin.
Vitamin E oil before bed- promotes cell regeneration, shortens breakouts, prevents scarring. Will not clog pores!
Citrus and aloe face wash for oily skin.
Light, oil free moisturizer
Zia acne treatment mask in the morning. It contains sulfur which clears pores and absorbed oil.

Good luck!!

I've been alternating between two Neutrogena products and getting pretty good results. One is a clear pore cleanser/mask combination. The other is their grapefruit cleanser. The each have a different active ingredient...benzoyl peroxide in one and salycic acid in the other. I find that too much of either will irritate my skin, but switching every day or two is doing a good job of keeping my skin clear.

I really like Dermalogica's MediBac adult acne kit. You can get a trial size sample kit on e-bay for about 30 bucks. It comes with a face wash, clearing gel, mask, and my favorite product that I order the full-size version of is the clearing mattifier (for my T-zone). Every few months I have to switch it up because my body gets used to it... so I find another generic acne mask and gel for spot treatments...

Good luck!

L'BRI PURE N' NATURAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I swear by it!

One of the main problems w/ Proactiv is that it's about 95% (or more!) WATER! What a huge waste of money (b/c that stuff's not cheap!)! In addition to that, it has some very harsh chemicals & other ingredients in it which can actually make your skin "angry" and make the problem worse!

L'Bri stuff is mostly ORGANIC ALOE (no water at all!) which is extremely nourishing & healing to the skin. There are no artificial colors, fragrances, etc...--ONLY botanicals are used.

My best friend struggled w/ acne since puberty & several years ago she tried L'Bri & I lie to you not, in a mere 2 1/2 DAYS her skin was 100% cleared up! I've never seen anything like it! If I'd not seen it w/ my own 2 eyes, I'd think some one made it up. Crazy!

Anyway, you can order samples if you want (they're free, you just pay shipping) or you can order the full system (since it typically does take 2-4 wks to see the best results) without worrying that it won't work b/c everything comes w/ a 30 day money-back guarantee!!! The website is www.A..lbri.com if you're interested in peeking.

I really do swear by this stuff! My skin has NEVER looked or felt better! (I've used nothing but this stuff for about 6 or 7 yrs now!)

Good luck!
