I am 8 days late and usually regular having my period from the 22 to the 23 of the month. I was once 3 days late but had light brown spotting and this time that hasnt happened. I have symptoms of pregancy but the test turned out negative. could it be to early to tell? or is it unlikely that i could be pregnant? when i was pregant with my daughter i had symptoms like this but the test was positive, any advice helps.

Thank you!

I am going to be 21 tomorrow but dont have any plans of drinking one because of this and two my daughter. i'm not really stressed out things are actually starting to become less stressful for me and my family. i am having weird pains not cramps but more like random stab pains in my ovaries/hips. I could just be late. But ill wait and let you all know! thank you for the advice :)

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

Thank you all for the responces :) I was waiting for the 2 week mark to take another test just to make sure it wasnt just late. But i ended up getting it on day 13! it wasnt really heavy and i wasnt super crampy but it still came. My period only lasted for a day then i have just been having dark brown spotting only when i wipe. So i dont think im pregnant but my mom told me this happened to her when she was pregnant. So im still unsure. Just waiting at this point :) but again thank you all for your responces! they were all helpful!

I know someone who was 7 months pregnant took a test, and it came out negative and clearly she was. So yes it is possible to be pregnant and those test come out negative.

Due to health reasons, I went 6, 8, 10 months with no period. I was never pregnant. I should have just invested in stocks for the pregnancy tests as opposed to taking them. I would have had a better financial return.

That went on for years for me. Literally.
You're 8 days late. I would schedule a doctor appointment for a blood test.
You may be having "symptoms" because you want so badly to be pregnant.
Our minds can play tricks on us.

With my history, I started feeling weird and couldn't figure out what was wrong with me. 9 years after my first kid, I was shocked to learn I was pregnant with a home test, once again, after many months with no period.

I would give it a week and see what happens .Pee tests are pretty accurate these days. You can wait, if nothing changes as far as your period, you can get a blood test.

Just my opinion.
Stress can cause your cycles to be thrown off.

It never hurts to call your doctor and have them run a test. While you are waiting for the appt and results, behave as if you are pregnant just in case.

I've been late 3x. 2x I was pregnant and 1x my hormones were out of whack.

I did this both times I was pregnant, and didn't come up positive until I was 4-5 weeks pregnant. So, yes, you could be. But, I have also done this when I was not pregnant from stress, so you could not be too. I think the best idea is to either wait and see what happens, or to have a blood test if you really need to know now. Good luck either way!

if you have unprotected sex - you could become a parent again.

In my 30s, my very regular periods because not so regular. I'm still in my 30s, nursing, baby is almost 14 months and period still not regular.

Are you stessed? worrying about your late period can also delay.

you could call your dr and get a blood test or see what's going on.

How old are you?
If you're in your 30's, peri-menopause can start up at any time and very gradually your periods will be less predictable/regular.
Hormone imbalances can mess with your period without being pregnant.
Sometimes birth control (pill, IUD, etc) can mess with it.
Stress can be a factor too.
It doesn't hurt to see a Dr to check it out.

Wait and see but while you are waiting, eat and drink like you are pg and you won't have to regret it. Even take a multi vitamin.

I have had similar experiences but I have endometriosis. I don't mean to scare you, but since no one mentioned it yet, I figured I'd throw the possibility out there for you to do some research. I didn't even learn that I had endometriosis until I weaned my second baby. But once I learned about it, I found the explanation for a lot of weird symptoms I had had off and on for many years. So now when I have random sharp pelvic pains or no period, I know that it is because of the way the endometriosis is reacting to the amount of estrogen in me. Good luck and God bless!

How old are you? I was always a regular 28 day kind of girl, but in the last year, my cycle went all over the map (i'm 40). One month it would be 22 days, the next 34.
