Worry wart back again! I'm 39 weeks and I can't tell if my babies movements are less than what they have been or tend to be. I'm definately feeling him/her move daily. Any suggestions?

What can I do next?

Im 36 weeks and noticed a decrease.. I feel her throughout the day, but its def less than before. She used to be a little ninja nonstop. I told my doctor about it and he said to drink a soda and then lay down, if shes not moving then I need to go in.

My doc always told me that as long as you still have movement you are fine... Things get pretty cramped in those last few weeks!!

It's pretty normal. The bigger they get, the less they move around, they just don't have the room.

My son stopped moving as often a week or so before I went into labor.

I'd suggest doing kick counts. And tomorrow call, tell them you're worried that baby is moving less and ask for a non-stress test just to be sure.

Tell your OB, and go in for a non-stress test. If you haven't already had one, it is where you are lying down and have a fetal monitor strapped to your belly. It is not only checking for fetal movement, but it is monitoring movement in conjunction with a rise in the baby's heart rate. This is often used as an indicator of whether or not the baby is in distress. It will put your mind at ease.

Good luck, and I hope you go into labor soon!

It is barely any space in there! They have very little space to move around. But if you have any doubts at all, call your OB. When I was 39 weeks I barely felt any movement at all. But on screen the baby was moveing.

Like everyone has said, there isn't a lot of room in there now. If you're still feeling some movement all is fine. Stress won't help you or your baby, so try to relax, your baby will be here soon!

Probably just not much room to move. As long as you feel mvt. all is well.

I see my answer on here already, drink a glass of orange juice and lie down, you will feel baby shortly after. If by chance you do not after 1/2 an hour call the doctor. There is barely any room for the little boo boo, try not to worry though. Congrats!!!!!!

Drink a tall glass of orange juice and lay on your left side for 30 minutes, you'll feel baby :) If not, call your doc... BUT just remember, that kiddo in there is seriously running out of room, and can't do gymnastics anymore!

CONGRATS!! :)

i felt my son move all the time...he still is a busy bee. Then my daughter I hardly felt. She was just not as agressive as him. Just always talk to your doctor or labor and delivery if you have any.. concerns at all!! Yeah your baby is almost here!!!

I wouldn't worry about it. I'm 39 weeks, having a planned c-section on the 28th and my baby moves all the time. My other children moved way less than this little one at this stage. Every baby is so different, every pregnancy as well. It won't be long...just think your baby is getting bigger and his/her space is getting smaller. Don't fret...you're almost to the finish line.

I too am 39 weeks due on 28th just this morning had bloody show and kid is moving as well. The BH (Braxton Hicks) are flowing in so it may not be long before I trot to labor/delivery. Use the kick counter if you are having concerns of fetal movement. I suspect you are going steady with your doctor on a weekly basis and being monitored. If so, and doctor is saying you and little one are fine. There should not be any worries. Good luck, God bless & Congrats!!

Daily kick count ... lie down and get relaxed (haha), or at least sit. Count movements. If it's less than 10 in an hour, you should probably call the doctor. If it's more, you're okay. (I'm pretty sure it's 10, but might be 20, you can call the nurse at your OBs office to be sure). I did this whenever I started worrying that my babies weren't moving enough, and it was good peace of mind.
