While I am over buying for my daughter (girls are so easy) I am struggling to find things for my 3.5 yr old son for Christmas. What gifts have you bought for your preschool age boy? Or what toys or activities are their favorites?

What can I do next?

Puzzles, lace cardboard animals (I'm not sure what they are actually called but you lace holes with a shoe lace like string), age appropriate scooter, large blocks, race cars, memory game, magnet games for the fridge, dry erase work books, books, if he doesn't put things in his mouth you can check out the age range for a light bright?, I saw a scooby doo haunted house with Shaggy & Scooby. What ever he is into I would try to go that route.
One other suggestion would be to go online either to Walmart or Toy r us for ex. and search his age range and it will bring up toys, electronics, riding toys etc.
Good luck!

We're on a pretty tight budget, but I think my almost 4 year old is getting the Hot Wheels track that sticks to the wall and this http://www.joeyboey.com/joey-town-mat.html

Those two gifts should be a lot of fun AND let him get more use out of the cars he already has!

Zingo was a big hit for our 3 year old (she is a girl, but this is a unisex game). Can be played independantly or with a group. Just like Bingo, but better ;)

I have the opposite problem! I could buy all day for my 3.5 year old son but when it comes to my daughter I'm lost LOL!

This year we got my son the Imaginext space ship, Uno Moo, a car set that he can build the car himself (age appropriate I forget who makes it), a couple of floor puzzles, a train table (he's very into trains and cars), Matchbox tracks (Wall Tracks are really popular but sold out when I've tried to find them), a camera and a microphone......

My son is 3 1/2. Some things we got him for Christmas are puzzles, games (uno moo, chutes and ladders, lets go fishin) Leapster 2 and a game for it, a camera (V-tech Kidizoom) We also got him a small hockey/soccer net with a soccer ball and some Toy Story toys, he LOVES Toy Story. He just started to get into Spiderman and Batman too.

I'm getting my preschooler the LeapFrog LeapPad Tablet. $100, but very top-rated.

Maybe you could get him some E-rated video games if you have an Xbox or Wii.

we started young with our board game collection and just yesterday I played tumbling monkeys with my 8 and 10 year old, it actually gets more fun as they get older because now it's about strategy. Anyways, other things my boys liked at that age were the preschool action figures, imaginex stuff, and geotraks
