My son will be 3 months next week and I was curious as to what some of your 3 month olds schedules/routines are like!

What can I do next?

we didn't have much of a schedule until around 4-4.5 months with my 3rd. She's now 6 months. at 4 months she'd wake at 7 ,eat, go back for a nap woth in 45 min to an hour, sleep about an hour or so. eat.and so on. Just now she is settling into a long morning nap about 1 hour after she gets up, and 2-3 1 hour naps until bed in the late afternoon. we put her down about 7-7:30. If you can keep a consistent bedtime and a consistent first nap, you'll find alot will fall into place during the day.

Hi S.
My daugher will be 3 months next week.
I give her 6 oz every 4 hours starting at 7am. She usually goes down for a nap an hour after she finishes her bottle. In between she gets tummy time and plays in her jumperoo. I usually take her to the park around 4 o'clock, that way she gets fresh air and kind of forgets about that nap. Occasionally she will fall asleep but not her usual 2 hr naps. I dont let her sleep after the 7pm bottle.I play with her for about an hour. Then i get into my usual bedtime routine: Change diaper, pajamas, and rocking in the glider with a 2 oz bottle. I find that tops her off for the night. I start the bottle at 830, lay her down in her crib at 9pm.
She sleeps from 9p-645a.
Good Luck!!

My daughter will be three months in two weeks. She really doesn't have much of a routine going on. She eats (formula) every 3 hours or so (3-4 ounces). Sometimes she cat naps for a while...10-15 minutes. Then she plays. She usually takes one or two really good long naps a day. But that happens when she wants it to right now. She sleeps through the night, most nights. If she does wake up, it's usually at 4 or 4:30. I thoguht it was very easy to get my son into a routine (he's 4) when he was a baby. You'd think that since I"ve done this before that getting her into a routine would be easy!

I have a 3 1/2 month old boy. He wakes up around 7:00 and has a 6 oz bottle. He then goes down for a nap around 9:30 in his crib (He just started regular naps this week. Up until then, he just napped in random locations at random times.) He'll get up around 10:30 or 11:00 and have another 6 oz bottle. He'll stay awake for a couple of hours and then, ideally, take an afternoon nap. He'll get up and have another 6 oz bottle around 3:00. He's then awake until he gets his last 6 oz bottle at 6:00 and then goes to bed and sleeps until 7:00 the next a.m.

Most important is the cycle being in the order of eat, playtime, nap time, eat, playtime, naptime, etc. So the schedule/routine would look like maybe this to promote good sleep habits:

6am eat
7:30-9 nap
9am eat
10:30-12 nap
noon eat
1:30-3 nap
3pm eat
4:30-6 nap
6pm eat
7:30-9nap
9pm eat and to bed for the night OR play time until
10:30 eat and to bed for night

OR once sleeping through the night and wanting to be going longer between feedings or wanting longer naps..............

6am eat
8-10 nap
10am eat
12-2 nap
2pm eat
4-6 nap
6pm eat
8-10 nap
10 eat then to bed for the night
