I have a friend who is pregnant currently and suffering from all day sickness nearly every day. She has found some relief with motion sickness bracelets. They typically sell them for when you are going on a boat ride or long car trip (my niece and nephew wear them for car trips) howwever the box also lists pregnancy. My friend has told me that it was the best $15 she has spent in years!! Especially wince she has a crazy 2 year old. Hope they help you as well. You can find them at most drug stores.

I also did acupuncture and herbs during the first trimester, and it worked wonders for me. My nausea stopped and my energy increased.

Good luck to you and congrats on your pregnancy!

That's how I was, with both my pregnancies, PLUS I had migraines on top of the morning sickness. I tried all sorts of things to alleviate it.
The only thing that worked for me, was acupuncture. Just a 1/2 hour session, and that was it. It stopped completely... and it was even pretty relaxing. It does not hurt.
Even my OB/GYN recommended it.
Or course, see an Acupuncturist that has experience with pregnancy.

But no matter what, you should express your concerns/discomfort to your OB/GYN.

All the best,
Susan

My morning sickness was much worse during my second pregnancy. I was sick all day and all night! I ended up taking Zofran and it helped a lot at first but my Dr. had to double the dosage after a couple of weeks because it startig losing its effectiveness. It made it possible for me to continue working and taking care of my toddler at home. I'd highly recommend it!

For me, 6 weeks was just the beginning of the nausea. Just wait another week or 2. Ugh! Mine was bad enough that I ended up in the ER to get some fluids (3 bags worth) and Zofran so I could keep something down. Zofran saved me during my pregnancy. I couldn't keep the pill down so they gave me the kind that dissolves on your tongue. They didn't have the generic in that form then, but now they do! YAY!

But based on Susan's response, I'm gonna have to remember acupuncture if I ever have another child and have the same nausea problem! One session? Wow. Sounds worth it.
