2Nd Bday Party Location Suggestions?

We had son's 1st bday at home, and that was tough, as husband has a LARGE family. Anyway, this next go-round, we're definitely doing it away from home. There will only be about 6 or 8 kids, maybe 10 max. Just looking for suggestions and experiences you've had at places. We are actually in McKinney, but we can do McKinney, Frisco, even Plano or Allen. I tried to look at previous posters who had asked this same question, but all the responses were marked "private," so just posting my own question...

TIA!

We just had my daughter's 2nd Birthday at Animal House in McKinney. It is a great place and the most affordable bounce house place I could find. I think their email is animalhouseparties.com If that isn't correct they are always listed in those free magazines they give out at the grocery stores. Good luck!

Well, we just had our son's 2nd birthday party on Sunday. I just remodeled his room in wild west/cowboy theme, so we decided to go with something along that line. We only were having about 10 kids and the rest adults and family. I didn't want to do the Mcdonald's or Chuck E cheese thing because I wanted my son to interact with everyone instead of playing on some machine the whole time. My son loves music and to dance, so, we decided to go with Traildust Steakhouse. They have music and a dance floor, we got a clown for an hour to entertain for part of the time while adults ordered something to eat. (They did face painting, balloon animals, and a skit, and a dance--I have telephone numbers if u want) We paid for the kid's meals and got a few appetizers for everyone at the start. The adults paid for their own. He opened presents while everyone finished eating, then we had cake, and it was done! We had a blast and Traildust was so accomodating and great food! We did it on Sunday and it wasn't busy at all and the kids just kinda danced around and played together. It is the Parker Bros. Traildust in Aubrey. 10 minutes or so from McKinney. We really had a good time and I didn't have to clean up a thing! We eneded up spending a little more than we wanted to, but could've skimped on the decorations, and goody bags and saved. The kids really cared about the face painting and balloons anyway.

Wiggly Play Center is awesome with nice big party rooms and wonderful helpers if your son likes the wiggles! We have been to several great parties there, and it is nice especially if you have kids coming from several different age ranges. If their all 2 year olds it will still be fun, but there will be some things they are too small for. Animal House parties is O.K. too, but their party rooms are smaller and not quite as nice. It is a lot of fun though, but there will be other parties scheduled and you have to be specific about which part of the facility you want to rent out. If you decide to do the bounce house thing, I suggest you actually go up there and see what you get with each rental!

the Wiggles in Frisco is perfect...but make sure you choose a weekday because the weekends are WAY too busy and the kids will get run over.

In Plano (Custer & Parker) we did my step daughters fifth birthday party at Planet Pizza 2 years ago. It was a great time and the kids ranged from 3 - 12. Everyone had fun. The birthday girl got a T shirt as part of the pary package. Much quiter than chuck e cheese. Which is always an option I guess. I had a 10:00 am party and we were nearly by ourselves for 2 hours. It was great. Loved it! Plenty of room for adults to just sit and talk while the kids played.
