It can be, but I would consult your physician to be sure since he/she knows your medical history. It is of the utmost importance that you don't get DEHYDRATED. Drink, drink, drink non caffeinated things like water and diluted juice. Your doctor will let you know if Immodium or any other antidiarrheal products are safe to take at this stage of pregnancy. Hang in there!

Be really careful with this, and ask your doctor. Do whatever you can to stay hydrated. All of those bodily functions are sympathetic and later on in the pregnancy can be signs of labor etc. But for now, just stay hydrated, don't think I'd take anything without consulting a doctor, but diet-wise treat the diarrhea how you'd normally treat it...give dr. a call and ask about it in the morning.

everything and nothing is "normal" at any point during pregnancy - but it doesn't mean you shouldn't get it checked out. diarrhea is especially dangerous at the point you are at, as dehydration can bring on pre-term labor - get in touch with your OB, try to stay hydrated, and go in for IV fluids if you are struggling to stay hydrated. good luck!

I actually did have very loose and at times diarrhea, on and off throughout my whole pregnancy. My OB was not concerned, he only suggested Metamucil to help regulate. I thought that stuff was to help you go if you were constipated, but it actually has a thickener that helps make everything "normal". I would check with the Dr just to make sure. It might be something bacterial that you are passing, sometimes that just needs to run it's course, but again, check w/ the Dr to be safe. Drink lots of water. Good luck and congrats!
