You could get a really nice book that guests could sign to congratulate them. Then give it to them at the end of othe night. Maybe one that lets you put a picture in the front--a picture of their wedding day would be nice.

Since it;s the Silver Anniversary, I would get something Silver, and silver plated is fairly cheap. I would get a silver picture frame and engrave it if you're close to the couple. Try Things Remembered in most malls or maybe some silver plated candle sticks. Have fun and kudos to the couple married for 25 years. That's quite an accomplishment.

Depends on the couple really. Most people married 25 years don't want any "stuff." I would say wine if they drink it; gift certificates to a restaurant or store; movie tickets; or fruit of the month club. Some lottery tickets is fun even if they don't normally buy them. A card with a nice note and your presence at the party is probably enough too.

Hallmark stores have annivrsary gifts for silver and golden anniversaries; and proper cards to boot.

Depending on the couple, you could give two of those really nice passport covers, like the ones from Vera Bradley. I think they cost about 20 buck each. Then on the card you can say something about hoping they enjoy many more adventures ahead of them. It's one of those gifts that you don't NEED but it's a nice thing to get. Good luck
