Did you go to the dentist?

My daughter's tooth 'died' when she fell down at age 2 - and it finally fell out age 6.5!

Have you taken her to the dentist? Please do, if you have not already. When I was a child I was in a car accident (in the days before car seats =) and my two front teeth were knocked out. Even though they were baby teeth, the dentist did a double root canal and re-implanted them. He did this to maintain the spacing and jaw development, since my adult teeth would not have come in for several more years. My adult teeth grew in right on schedule, and pretty straight, so it must have worked.

I would take your little one to the pediatric dentist ASAP just to make sure everything is okay.

Get her to the doctor....the ER if necessary. This is a facial injury that also has affected her mouth (teeth). Only they can advise you or sent you to a pediatric dental specialist for futher help. She may lose those teeth completely depending on the damage to her gums.
Don't wait. Take her!

My daughter the same thing a month ago. We went directly to the dentist where they took x-rays to check for injury. There was none to her face or roots, so we were told to watch the teeth for discoloration and scheduled a check up for a month out.

This sounds like a pretty serious injury. Please take her to a dentist as soon as possible.

Get a hold of your daughters doctor or dentist. If there's that much blood and swelling it's an emergency. It's not going to be easy on a weekend, let alone a holiday weekend but hang in there. Last year my son did a lying leap in the living room. It was supposed to be onto a pillow but he overshot and really bit it. His teeth weren't impacted but he did break them. It was bad enough we got to go to have an emergency visit to a dentist on a Saturday on New Years Weekend. >.< Big hugs, and good luck!

You need to make an appointment with a Pediatric Dentist on Monday. They can take X-rays and see if the roots are damaged. My daughter fell off the couch with a Platex Nurser bottle in her mouth and it broke the root off her front top tooth. They pushed it back in but the tooth was severely damaged.

They eventually just plucked it out. She also lost her permanent tooth due to this injury.

Since she is swollen that bad I would take her to the ER at a large hospital, maybe a children's hospital, they may have a dentist on call. The swelling may constrict her breathing if it is still swelling inside her head.

A Pediatric dentist is a specialist in baby and kids teeth. They are not the same as a family dentist.
