1- Rock band for xbox 360... I need to find it, why can't I find it?! I'm trying to buy it today from somewhere local, which either gives me Target or (yikes) Walmart... specifically Rock Band 2 for xbox 360 IF it comes with the guitar and microphone and all that stuff :)

2- I've apparently been grinding my teeth at night and my overbite is getting BAAAAAD. I need one of those night guard mouth piece things. Since I don't go back to the dentist until February, can anyone recommend a good brand/low priced brand and where to find them? I've never used an actual dental night guard before... are they worth the $$?

Sorry about making everyone think so stinking early ;)

What can I do next?

1- no help here...sorry
2 - I love my mouth guard...less headaches, less cracking in my jaw during the day. I just buy the $20 box (has two upper and lower) from Walmart...I get new ones every couple of months. So yes totally worth the money.

1. Check Best Buy they should carry it too.

2. They sell similar products at the drug store or you can try a sport mouth guard. I have tried both and the sport ones are softer, but they don’t last as long. I have given up on both since I usually spit them out while I am sleeping.

R., my dentist made a mouth guard for me - $500 and insurance wouldn't cover it - and it was so tight because the mold was made from my teeth, that I could not tolerate it. I tell you this because I would hate for you to waste the same money I did. Instead, go with the drug store variety - I should have done that.

Mine still sits in the drawer...

Do NOT purchase a sports mouth guard.. It is not meant for sleeping in because it will not allow you to close your jaw. The one you want is one that can actually fit your mouth and teeth properly.. It will feel tight at first but then it will conform to your mouth. It helps to keep your teeth in place also.

I purchased mine through the dentist a few years ago and it is great, but even with dental insurance it was expensive.

I was at the Drug store and saw lots of products that looked good. Get the kind that you can heat, place on your teeth and make your own imprint. It looked pretty much like what I have.

I know nothing about mouthguards so can't help ya there. As for the video game, I would suggest calling places first before you go running all over the world. That's what I did yesterday when I needed a very specific pair of sunglasses for my husband. I knew I didn't have the time, energy or patience to run to every store at the mall after working all day so I called them during the day, found a few places that had them, compared prices, & asked them to hold a pair for me until the evening. Easy peasy!

The nightguard from the drug store might work as a stop-gap measure, but you really should get the guard from the dentist - it works MUCH better. (Speaking from experience - I tried the drug store version and it didn't really work, the one from the dentist was like magic!)

1--You could try Amazon or another online retailer and get fast shipping. Then you wouldn't have to brave the crowds. :)
2--You could probably get a mouth guard at the store, but it will only help the teeth grinding, not as much the overbite. Your dentist or orthodontist can have one made for you using impressions of your teeth that can help both problems. I had to wear one for a little while after I had braces years ago. I would recommend the one that's made for you specifically. You don't want anything potentially busting up your beautiful smile! :)

1.Do you have a BJ's or Sam's Club where you are? sometimes they sell these there.
2. You can find a good quality one, but affordable at any drugstore. Ask your pharmacist where they are( they vary in stores)..Target also might carry these too. My friends a dental hygienist, so that is what she recommends. I'm a grinder myself. It's cheaper then going to the dentist, at least for now. It will last for a couple months.

Call your local GameStop... they may have the Rockband games...they have everything else!!!

Dental Guards? only place I know to get those is a dentist as they make a mold of your mouth so it fits YOUR mouth. I would have to talk to my GF, Kerry in CA, who is an RDH and ask her about the grinding, dental guard, etc.

I know you can get a mouth piece at Modells Sporting goods - but I don't know how it would work for you and sleeping....

Don't know anything about video game stuff.

Dental guards are hard to get used to but they do work to keep your teeth from being worn down by grinding. I wore one for a while before I had orthdontic work done and didn't need it anymore. You can likely get one through your dentist's office without a regular appointment. The one I got was made from an impression of my teeth so it was through my dentist.

Hey R., My daughter has the same problem with teeth grinding. She buys her mouth guards at Wal-Mart. She has had a couple she couldn't wear at night because they were literally so big, they choked her. Now she buys the thin ones and says they work just fine for her. They come 2 in a pack. I'm sorry I don't know the brand, but just be careful with the size (of the molds) you get.

For Rock Band 2.. try Gamestop (or heck, even craigslist!). Unless you're looking for new...then I'd suggest Target or Best Buy. You can buy the guitar/microphone/drum set separately if it comes down to it.

All the people that I know that have tried "off the shelf" night guards usually just end up taking them out sometime in the middle of the night. Guess that doesn't really help, but maybe call your dentist for a recommendation?

Try best buy for sure!

As far as the mouthguard you can go to Target or Walmart Sporting Goods section and get one cheapy until you see the dentist. Or at the drugstore they sell ones that say for overnight/teeth grinding. I clench my jaw from time to time and use a cheapy. I generally start feeling better after I've used it a week.

1. ToysRus and I just looked on-line and it showed for this area that Sears had it on the shelf. Kinda weird.
2. Try the cheapy at Walmart/Target, next step dentist.
