Hi Everyone,

I have started planning my little ones 1st birthday party (5 months early!). I want it to be penguin themed but I want to stay away from Happy Feet or the Madagascar penguins; and I am having a hard time finding anything. I found some cute invitations but no luck with plates, cups, napkins or decorations. If anyone knows of a good place or any ideas that would be so great. I'm so glad I started this early because so far it looks like I'm out of luck! Thanks for your help!!!

What can I do next?

Thanks to everyone for your suggestions! There were some great ideas and I will be putting them to use for our penguin party in July!!! Thanks again!

Since we are heading out of winter, the penguin plates might be hard to find. What if you just did the penguin invitations, and then a black & white color scheme? I bet you could have a really cute penguin cake or penguin cupcakes made...or make them yourself if you are crafty t(I typed penguin cupcake into google and it pulled up lots of info). That would carry the penguin theme into the party. Have fun, and good luck!

I'm not sure you are going to be able to find plates and napkins with penguins on them, but you might just pick a color scheme and buy the plate and stuff at Party City or the like. There are a lot of things on sale on the Oriental Trading Co. website.

Depending on the age of the children attending or even the adults, you could have the attendee make the frame or you could premake them since you are planning ahead.

draw or trace your own penguinn and glue him on plain white cups and make little penguinn name tags for all the kids and their parents. They'll think it's cute ,but it's really so you'll know everyones's names!
