My daughter turns 1 on April 11th. We're having mostly family, a few friends, and neighbors over to celebrate. I love Tres Leches Cake, so I was thinking I would get some cute little cake for my daughter to dig into and have "the cake experience," along with a larger Tres Leches cake for the rest of us. Anyone know of the best place to get a Tres Leches cake? I know Food City makes them, but I've never had one of theirs...any feedback or suggestions would be appreciated! Thanks!
Food City makes very good tres leche cakes and they are beautiful too. You can pretty much choose any color...just call a few days ahead of time. We have had them for big family celebrations and everybody loved them.

Ranch Market on Roosevelt St makes the BEST tres leches cakes! we get them for every birthday.

Congratulations on the FIRST birthday! I remember how exciting planning the very first birhtday party was. I am a reitred elementary teacher with 32 years in Mesa Public Schools. I LOVED every minute.
Food City does make a delicious Tres Leches Cake. I have a recipe for a delcious one, too! Probably the BEST I've ever had. I you'd like, to try to make one I'd be happy to share it with you.

From the sounds of everyones responses Food City may be the best bet. I know they are owned by the same people as Bashas and as far as I know they are one of the only stores in the valley that makes fresh cakes on site. If you don't try food city, check out Bashas. I use them for all my cakes because you can special order and they will do whatever you want. Good luck and enjoy! -S
I have never heard of a Tres Leche Cake.... but I LOVE LOVE LOVE Nothing Bundt Cakes cakes, their butter cream frosting is sooo delicious!
I've had Tres Leches cake at Fuego Bistro Restaurant on Palo Verde just east of 7th Street. but I don't know if they sell them to go. They make a really good one. D.
