My son will be 1 Oct 3rd. And i've been trying to come up with ideas for a party. I know it's a bit off but I had first thought of going to splash universe which is the indoor water park but a friend of mine at work said there really isn't anything that my son could do there. For the number of people attending a party at my house would not work, not enough space with all the kids and parents so I was wondering if anyone had ideas or places in the Elkhart/South Bend/Mishawaka IN area that might be fun for a first bday party. Thanks

What can I do next?

My girlfriend threw her twins' first birthday party at the YMCA - I believe they have a private room & pool you can rent. Someone else mentioned a park pavilion - that's a great, inexpensive idea too. There are so many parks in this area, you should be able to find one in your price range. Just have fun with it and don't get too stressed, your son will have fun no matter what you decide to do.

What about renting a picnic pavillion at Rose Park? Rose Park you can rent a picnic pavillion, they have playground equipment and a water park that the kids can play around. Rose Park is in Mishawaka on West Street...........

Hope things work out!

You could always try Chuckie Cheese. Then kids could play and eat.

Chuck E. Cheese is a good place to go for a first birthday. I live in S.Bend and that is where we usually go for birthdays. It is over in Mishawaka on McKinley Ave. Another thing people do is go to McDonalds for birthday parties and they will use the playroom for the party.

Gosh, there are great things to do in our area, but doing something that is great for a one year old and affordable is the key.
The Chocolate Cafe opened the new PlayCafe and it is a blast!
The Chuckie Cheese idea is great for a 1-year old. They have a little tykes area.
Potawatami Zoo and a picinic is also a lot of fun.
