Has any one ever used a company like Sunshine Home Improvement to have replacement windows installed? We were going to purchase the windows and install them ourselves but what we need costs over $250 per window! That's just the windows! Part of our problem is that the windows we are replacing are so old and pieces of junk that we had to get new construction windows for the last set we did ourselves. I know estimates are free from Sunshine, but I don't want to waste time taking off work just to find out they are not all they're cracked up to be. Thanks for your input!

we just got 5 new ones put in last friday. We used All American. the guys that put them in took their sweet time.I was told it would take one day and it took three. they said it was cold so they would come back and they smoked while putting them in and it all came in my house and I could go on and on. I would say DONT use all american:) The windows do like nice tho:)

Hi, G.--

My husband I recently got an estimate and I learned really quickly that you can't actually get a window for $189. That price is for the window only and doesn't include many things which you'll want/need to have like finishing around the window so it doesn't leak, and insulation. The actual quoted cost ended up being in the $450-600/window range. Just an fyi! You still may do better to do it yourselves.

All the best,

T.
