Hi everyone!

I am taking my 17 year old son for a check up tomorrow but wanted to post this problem to see if anyone has any ideas about what is going on with my child. I am really starting to get concerned and want to make sure that I ask all the right questions tomorrow at the drs. so we can get to the problem.

My son has been vomiting A LOT for quite sometime. At first I just thought that it was because he eats hot sauce like candy. He puts it on EVERYTHING. He was throwing up a lot for a little while and then it stopped and wasn't happening very often. Now its happening again. I asked him last night what makes him feel like he needs to vomit and if he had had any hot sauce. He said no hot sauce and he just feels like he has to that it feels like someone is squeezing his upper stomache area. That he gets a pain below his breast but above his belly button, and in his throat....and then he feels sick and throws up. He also is really tired a lot. A lot more than what I think a normal teenager should be. I am wondering if this could be more than like reflux or an ulcer. I have never had either...so if there is someone out there that has had this problem or has reflux or an ulcer that could shed some light on this issue that would be great. Also..if anyone out there has another idea...or thinks the doc. should check this or that...please let me know!!!

I know that he is not doing this on purpose...that he does not have bulima or something like that. He really can't help it. And doesn't try and hid it.

Thanks for your help!

J.

Do allergies run in your family? Also check out the possiblity of a wheat gluten allergy. I know of two teenagers that were recently diagnosed. Some of the symptoms are stomach problems and weight loss. Ask your doctor.

I would definatly talk to his doctor about it! It could be something like an ulcer or it could be something much worst.

I've had ulcers and reflux and neither ever made me throw up...not once. That's not to say that he and I are the same, but I wouldn't assume with what's going on that it might be any certain thing...I'd get him to a doctor asap.
