So I did my weigh in... no weight lost. Oh well, at least I know I exercised this week! Weekends are always a killer for me when hubby is home. He is a meat potatoe kind of guy and I think we will have to slowly alternate some of our choices on how we make them.

How did everyone else do this week?

I don't own a scale. I think I'd go crazy if I did. I weigh myself once or twice a month whenever I remember to do so when visiting my parents house. I'm normally w/in 3 lbs of the last time, so I guess I fluctuate 3 lbs above and 3 lbs below a certain average weight. I hope that's normal.

I wouldn't completely go off of a scale in that measurements are a better indication in that the scale only takes into lbs.. now those pounds could be fat or muscle or even water gain (depending upon sodium intake) and how it affects you. personally.. In my case, sodium greatly affects me.

Also, muscle doesn't weigh more..it's more dense than fat and therefore, a
1 lb of muscles takes about 1/2 the volume of fat and therefore, people confuse matters and say oh muscle weighs more... However, a lb of muscle although half the size of fat is a still a lb.. in other words, don't go completely by the scale because it doesn't differentiate between fat and muscle..

I have also found that when I exercise more than I have in awhile, I tend to gain weight at first (which I believe is water retention) and then I eventually lose it..

Sounds like you are on the right track.. keep it up!!

I have been 125 for a month. Im very small so this is too much! I should be 115. The weekends are KILLING me!

Hi Sam
I started my training back on 05/01/2011. I put some posts up but some were removed. Anyway Since then I am down a total of 10lbs...some weeks I would put on the weight and others I would not. My vacation KILLED me (4lbs up)..so right now I am down to 123 but my goal weight is 115. I swim 4 to 5 days per week and I eat VERY VERY healthy during the week. My problem is the drinking we do Friday and Saturday...I drink 4-6 beers at our bonifire and that usually leads to smores and fire pies.
Congrats on not GAINING weight..possibly since you dont weight that much anyway, you are converting 1/2 lb of fat to 1/2lb of muscle. If you feel better, thats all that matters..
but yeah my weekends are bad

No worries!! sometimes all that exercise takes a week or two to catch up and show results on the scale. Remember muscle weighs more than fat. I hope you are drinking tons of water. That will help wash out the toxins etc from your body. I weigh in today with weight watchers. I am hoping it will say another pound gone. Will keep you posted.

I always gain when I being a regiment too. I am glad to see I am not the only one (other posters mentioned it)! I am on week 3 of my 5 am trips to the gym (an hour is all I can do before I have to get home to get ready for work..but hubby is "training" me). I have been calorie counting (with an app) for several weeks prior and lost a few pounds that way..and did a DVD at home dilligently, but then pulled a muscle in my shoulder, so now hubby is supervising me!

I did finally drop a pound last week!

I still stick to my calorie counting on the weekend, but loosen it up by as much as 200 calories a day for sat/sun (which affords me a little dessert or a Mikes Lemonade or eating out capacity...I am normally 1400 cal/day.) My heavyset daughter ONLY calorie counts (zero activity really) and she is losing 2 pounds a week! We are going school shopping tomorrow and she is excited to try on the next size smaller in Jeans!

Didn't lose a damn thing!

Of course, the fact that I'm sitting here eating chocolate pudding while I type this could have something to do with that.........

Down 2...but the week before I lost .02. That was week 6...week seven was down 2 so I'm a happy camper. Down a total of 8.5...

I wish we could have additional forms for things like this...sure would help if we could all keep encouraging each other.

Well i only gained 5 lbs....:)...im 4 months pregnant though. My doctor says i can continue to lose weight other places and only gain in the tummy. And i should show barely any weight gain... so 4 months and only 5 lbs is pretty good. Im not obese or anything but i am trying to have a above average fit pregnancy.

I went to my weigh in also. I wish I was 145 sigh....... However the first step for me was getting back to my meetings. I am going to go every week. I am hoping to be down at least a couple lbs this week.
