Hey, whenever I have sit down time with my daugher, and we play games, my mind comes to a blank on all the different activites we can play. I made a list of some, but I thought you ladies could help me come up with other ideas, they like to do at this age.

Thanks.

Go to this website. They have a ton of ideas! They have fun recipes to make with kids, or surprise kids with, and they have a lot of fun crafts, too. Also, fingerpainting with yogurt and/or pudding can be a lot of fun, too. My 14 month old loves it because of the textures... Have fun!

I also found this one to be helpful when I'm trying to work on the computer and my daughter can't keep her hands away from the keyboard...

This is a great age, just to talk to her, read to her, color (color wonder markers are great). When my daughter was about that age, I loved doing things like the park, zoo, museums and just she and I getting out. Seeing the world through her eyes really opened mine. Puzzles are great too, make a huge deal if she even tries, playing clapping games, itsy bitsy spider, teaching her to love music, just dancing in the living room to any kind of music. This is the age it is very easy to entertain them, get some dixie cups and stack them with her, have her pretend to cook give her some cooking utensils like spatula and a bowl or plastic cups. It is later on when it gets tougher, hee hee...right now they just are so wanting you to just be with them.

Kids that age love stories...go through the book and point to pictures. They also love stacking blocks and knocking them down. You probaby already know that though...Check your local library-ours has a mommy and me playtime once a week for kids that age where they do finger play and songs with actions etc.
My kids loved playing simple hide and seek games at that age where you hide around the corner, when she gets there act surprised like she got you and run to another 'hiding spot'.

There is a great bok called "Unplugged Play" for $15-$19. It is fantastic. It has so many ideas for indoor, outdoor activities for children from 1 & up.
