teeth do stuff like this. i'd be way more worried that the early molars were going to shove her teeth awry than to be concerned that the dentist might know what he's talking about and do his job.
pulling baby teeth is not a big deal. it's not 'dental surgery.'
just take her in and see what he recommends. if it seems excessive, get a second opinion.
and if she does need corrective surgery? she'll only be as panicked about it as you are.

Are you sure they are not her 6 year old molars? My 8 year old niece has been waiting for hers to come in so she can start orthodontic work. (She needs her lower and upper palate expanded).

My daughter on the other hand when she was not quite 10 was told by an orthodontist that she had the tooth development of a mature 11 yo.

I really think you are jumping to conclusions thinking she needs dental surgery. If she does not have enough room for her adult teeth to come in then she probably needs her palate to be expanded and she should see an orthodontist to have the work done now. I think 8 yo is an average age to have the palate expanded.

Yeah, my son's adult teeth all began coming in way sooner than expected.
If the adult teeth are ready to come in, usually the baby teeth fall out ahead of time, but if the adult tooth is not below the baby tooth, then the root of the baby tooth does not dissolve like it should and end up needing to be pulled.
Likely they will start your daughter with an expander which will make more room for her adult teeth.
It really make braces go much more quickly if they have the room to work with.
My son had an expander first and then he only needed braces for 2 years - he as finished before he was out of 6th grade.

My SD was 2 years ahead in her mouth. We pulled a few, kept a few, and just kept an eye on it. If you think the dentist is pulling too many, get a 2nd opinion.
