So What Happened?

I just want to thank everyone for there help , but it turns out that right after i wrote my request my bleeding got worse..So i had to go for an alutrasound and it turns out that we lost the baby...This feels like a dream and i want to wake up and make it all go away. I am so scared knowing that my baby has been gone for 3 weeks and is still inside me.My 5 year old was crying so badly when he over heard that what happened..That was so hard trying to tell him about heaven and his baby brother or sister.
Well as of right now i am trying to pass the baby so i hope by Thursday when i go back everything is okay and we can move on knowing that someone speical came into our lives and that we will never forget that baby..

Thanks again

Hi H.

I didn't have 1 spot of blood during my entire first 2 pregnancies. During my current one I had maybe 3-4 weeks of off and on spotting - never anything major - around 10-14 weeks. It started shortly before I was headed across the country for a family wedding so when I checked in with my dr, they sent me for an ultrasound. They didn't see anything unusual and my measurements matched so they said just let them know if it gets worse, but there was no explanation. It continued for a few weeks never really changing, but I also never had any discomfort with it. Then it just stopped and I haven't had it since.

At 11 weeks, you are getting close to being out of that more fragile first trimester. I understand it's tough to rest much during a third pregnancy when you must care for older kids (mine are 3 and 23 months). Times that I've been tired or needed to rest, I've put us all in the playroom with a gate and laid on the floor on pillows. You can't really sleep, but just being able to have you feet up - or at least be off them and physically fairly still can be helpful. Do they like tv/movies? I'm not a big one for planting them in front of the tv to keep them busy, but in this case, I think it's not unreasonable. Anything where you can get them interested in doing something where you can lay down and need to do minimal activities. Sounds like it'd be a good day to order pizza for dinner and let the kids have an easy lunch - cheese and crackers, pbj, fruit cup/fresh fruit...your 5 year old might even be able to help a bit. Do what you have to do to keep your kids safe and basically happy, but let everything else go! You or your husband can catch up with it later.

Hi H.. I was pregnant 3 wks ago. I was spotting off/on but needless to say I was having a miscarriage.
Did you go for a internal sonagram to see what's happening? You should have heart beat by now. Did you go for your 1st intial OB appt. That usually happens around the 8th-10th week?

I didn't have cramps till the "end" of it. I also was passing some serious blood clots. TMI warning I actually passes one the size of a prune!

I'll say a prayer for you. Have faith.
I go see my doc tomarrow for my post miscarriage update appt.
I want to try again so badly. I have one boy who is 3 1/2.

God Bless
N.

H.,
For my first and only pregnancy I started having spotting at 10 weeks. The doctor had me go in for an emergency sonogram to find out what was the cause of it. I was really scared because I was afraid I had miscarried. I went in for the ultrasound and was not allowed to see the screen right away. We found out that day that I was carrying healthy twins. You could see their hearts beating and all four chambers of the heart were working well. What a relief and a surprise! I was spotting because there were 2 eggs implanting in my uterus and it caused some extra disruption to the wall.
I would insist on getting an ultrasound done today or by Monday just to make sure the baby is ok. As hard as it is with little ones, do try to take it as easy as you can until you can get to the doctor.

hey... i had this happen to me too. except I went for an ultrasound when I was thirteen weeks and the baby had no heartbeat and was only measuring eight weeks along I was horrified I had not one cramp or any bleeding it was insane so they gave me the option of either passing it on my own or having a D&C i chose to try and pass it on my own after like three days I called back and took the surgery My mind was going nuts thinking that everyone might be wrong and that my baby was still alive and that was why I had not experienced any miscarriage symptoms...I now have a 5 month old son, the baby I lost was not planned but the best medicine for my pain was to have another baby and now I have a 5 month old son. so N E way sorry for your loss, I hope everything goes well for you in the future...and your baby will be waiting for you in heaven

H., let me start of fby saying that you are in my thoughts & prayers. I recently had the same thing happen to me. I was about 8 weeks pregnant & started spotting. Like a PP, I too was miscarrying...I had a D&C on 1-19 & go for my post-op appt on 2-9. Physically I am feeling fine now....and emotionally I am getting there.

I hope that things work out ok for you. Keep us posted.

Hi H.,

I don't know how heavy you are bleeding so I can only tell you of two stories I know. With myself I had spotting around my 10th week and was having pains. My doctors took me in right away and did an ultrasound. The ultrasound showed a heart beat so I was sent on my way. I remained pregnant and my son was born in July. The doctor did tell me that if I was miscarring there is nothing that can be done, so basically it was a waiting game. The pains I was having was from my uterus already growing and pulling on the ligaments in my uterus.

I wish you the best of luck!
