10 Yr Old Daughter Golden Birthday Suggestions

Invite 10 friends,
You and your friends give them manicures and pedicures on their "10 finger and 10 toes," with gold nail polish,
Buy her a charm bracelet with 10 charms on it to commemorate her life so far,
Use gold plates, cups, tablecloths, etc, which should be greatly discounted right now after New Year's,
Make her cake and use edible gold dust on it (or have it made and ask the bakery to use it,
Go to a candy/cake supply store and purchase a mold to make #10 birthday suckers, and dust them with the edible gold dust (it's very easy, I made some Hedwig owl ones for a Harry Potter party, I used white chocolate for the suckers and used a tiny paintbrush to pick up the dust and flick it over the suckers) and tie them up in clear cello bags with gold twist ties,
If you give out goodie bags buy some gold cello bags to put the goodies in, or use clear ones with gold star stickers on them,
Sprinkle gold stars and gold number "10" confetti on the tables you use.

What the heck is a golden birthday? Is that some new thing because I raised four, the youngest being ten now and never heard that term used for any birthday party they were invited to.

The only reference I could find was when they turn the day of their birth but if it is in two weeks, well I guess rounding that could be the tenth. Darn wiki doesn't give me any help beyond it is supposed to be lucky.

Okay, judging from the other responses I am going to go with luck for the theme since that is the only thing I could find online about golden birthdays. So go with other superstitions maybe? Fortune cookies, palm reading. Cool things though because I can tell you ten year olds think they are a lot older than they are.

I love when my 21 year old goes was I that ridiculous at her age? Yes! yes you were!

I do not know what a Golden birthday is either.... help?

At age 10-12ish our daughter had 2 limo parties which were a lot of fun. Limo would pick girls up at their home, drive around. One year they came back to our house for pizza, crafts, sleepover and the next year we went to a very nice hotel, got a suite, girls swam, we went to dinner, had late night movies and room service desserts.

Still, no idea about Golden birthday.

A Golden Birthday is when you are turning 10 on the 10th of the month (or 12 on the 12th of the month, etc.). My 10 year-old daughter is having her Golden Birthday this year in March, and I've already been hearing from her for a year how this one needs to be special! I'm not sure either, what I'm going to do to make it special.
