He's probably seeing y'all "playing" with the TV, computer, etc, so that's what he's latched onto. We also give our kids our old cell phones and remotes that don't work - bonus for a cell phone, if you still have the charger for it. It will still light up and make sounds when it's turned on, but if it doesn't have a SIM card anymore, he can't call people w/ it.
We also bought CD zip cases for all of the kids' DVDs. This way, they can still play with the boxes, but the actual DVDs are safely put away. (This makes it easier for the mini travel DVD player on long trips, too!)
Also, if he's interested in the computer when he sees y'all on it, try lapsit games in a couple of months. These are games that basically allow young children to sit in mom or dad's lap and just beat on the keyboard, and see what happens. There are some available to purchase, but sesamestreet.com has a couple you can play for free.
And I've seen it but not tried it: you can get mosquito netting for your stroller. Then you can at least go on walks w/out him getting eaten alive by the bugs.
Check out food containers when you're finished w/ them - look for lids that are simple for little ones to take on and off. You can also give him something simple to put in, and dump out and put back in... try Cheerios or puffs or something you know is safe for him to put in his mouth - or poker chips work well, too. They're really too big to swallow. Or just give him a plastic bowl full of water and let him splash.
Melissa & Doug makes great wooden puzzles for little ones. The pieces are chunky, so you can stand them up, and he can play with the animal or car or dog figures or whatever puzzle you get, until he gets the hang of actually working the puzzle.
