Weaning 12 Month Old

My daughter is 12 months old. I have breastfed her exclusively since birth (no bottles) and she has been drinking water from a sippy cup very well since about 7 months old. I am eager to wean her from the breast. I offered her whole milk after her pediatrician gave the go ahead at her 12 month well visit. She has since refused every attempt at drinking milk. She pushes the cup away and shakes her head. I initially offered her milk in the same cup she drinks water from. She has also rejected milk in other types of cups---different sippies...

Sippy Cup and Feeding Questions

My son is 7.5 months old and I am wondering when to introduce a sippy cup. We have a Born Free and a Dr Browns soft spout I have tried them both with him but they are so difficult to get anything out of...he has to suck super hard compared to a bottle and so he mainly just plays with it and chews on the nipple. Any suggestions on a brand to try that is easier to come and a good starter cup? My other question is about table food and babies feeding themselves...right now he is eating 2-3 level 2 baby food things with 1 tbsp of cereal...

My 13 Month Old Is Picky, picky...picky!

My 13 month old little guy is ALL boy, except for his eating habits. Ever since he's realized he can eat what mommy is eating (to a point), that is all he wants. But then when I sit him down in his high chair, he sometimes puts the food in his mouth, then spits it out. He will drink his bottles like they are going out of style as many times as he can during the day and will throw tiny fits unless he doesn't have his bottle (whole milk of course), or get whiney until we give them to him. He will eat some foods (cheerios, pastas of every...

Born Free Bottles

Is anyone else having trouble with Born Free bottles? My son liked them at first but he seems to have a hard time now. I have to change the nipple several times before he will eat. I purchased new nipples which seemed to work at first but then after awhile the same issue was happening again. Anyone else have this problem? Side Note- I dont need anyones opinion on breast feeding! Its a personal choice to bottlefeed. If you feel the need to lecture me then don't bother responding. Thank you
