Natural Remedies for A/R ? Several Questions I Have...

** What is a natural remedy for A/R that is safe for an infant? ** 1. What is the difference between projectile vs. regular spitting up? ** I ask this because I want to understand the difference between the two. My son spits up his formula like a water fountain (it even sounds like it) and I want to describe the correct situation to my Pedi of what my son is doing after each feeding. 2. I understand spitting up is normal for an infant after each feeding, but how can I limit the projectile of his formula without giving him zantac as...

Sam's Club or Costco? Is It Really Worth It?

So, I'm thinking of paying for a membership for either Sam's Club or Costco? I had a Sam's Club membership a while ago when we were a family of 3 (me, husband and daughter) I stopped paying because we hardly went and didn't find it useful. So, today, we are a family of 5 (me, husband, 13-year-old daughter, 4-year old daughter and almost 1-year old son). For families of 5 do you really think it's worth it? Do you find yourself buying a lot when you're there? Do you save any? Both stores are about equal distance from my house, so I would...

Just for Fun -- Most Used Baby Item

I am putting together a basket for my sister in law who is having her second (after a 6 year gap) (due in July) of "my favorite things" after having my 8 month old. Any suggestions would be appreciated, So far, I have a set of books by Helen Oxenburry, a container of Boogie Wipes, a floppy sun hat, a set of light weight receiving blankets (swaddle wraps) and a pinky purse. What other things to include???? Thanks!

I Want to Wean NOW! (Edited)

My son is 17 months now and I am tired of nursing... mostly because he still gets up at night to do it. Last night was the worst as he was up about every 45 minutes and although I didn't nurse him each time he still was waking up.He is a thin guy (still wearing 12 month clothes even though they are short on him because the 18 mos clothes are too big in the waist) and he doesn't eat well during the day.He is NOT your typical American fat baby that has a storage to pull from all night long. I don't believe that he is NOT hungry at night...
