Can Prolonged Use of Hydrocortisone Cream Affect Growth of Child?

Hello moms. My 18 month old boy has chronic eczema since he was 6 months old and have been using a hydrocortisone cream prescribed by our pediatrician. We have been applying this cream, a 2.5% formulation cream since he was an infant with varying degrees of eczema relief. He has needed it on a daily basis and we have been applying it twice a day to his ankles, wrists and behind the knee--the areas that are affected. We also use Aquaphor and pretoleum jelly emollients to relieve his dry skin. We have not asked our pediatrician though...

Rash on Breasts

I am currently 38 weeks pregnant. About 3 weeks ago my breasts started to get really itchy. It started slowly over a few days and then it was unbearable. It was like someone put itching powder in my bra! I washed all my bras and it didn't help. I haven't changed any detergents/soaps/perfumes, etc. I started putting my Palmer's stretch mark lotion on them because I thought maybe they were just "stretching" getting ready for the baby. It would only relieve the itching for a little while. I even tried some of my 3 yr old daughters...

Need Advice to Treat Skin Execma

My son started getting rashes on his skin around 3 months. I've taken him to the doctor twice. The first time they told me it was execma and to put lotion on him to keep his skin moist and to wash everything with All Free and Clear and to use hydrocortisone when it's red and antibiotic ointment when it pusses. So I did but it did not get better; it got worse! The second time we went back I was prescribed triamcinolone, a steroid and mupirocin, an antibiotic for his face. He also had the rash all over his body and I was prescribed...

Hydrocortisone Cream and 6 Month Olds Face

My ped. put my son on perscription Hydrocortisone cream a few weeks ago for red spots, dry spots on his face. I have had skin issues all my life and have always been told not to use HC for a long period of time. I try to not use the cream all the time, so I apply when he has the spots and when they go away I stop, BUT they come back a day or two later. Should I stop using this and find something else, call the doctor? Or just use it?? Any suggestions?

Shaving Your Legs

How often do you ladies shave your legs? I just shaved mine last night for the first time in...let's just say too long. I've never been big on shaving legs, it just doesn't bother me. I do always shave my legs when I wear skirts or shorts but I wear pants mostly because of my job. Another reason is I get razor burn ALOT. I can use an awesome 5 blade razor maybe 2 or 3 times before I start getting razor burn with it. -- I usually get a new razor, then shave a few times then after the razor burn comes I stop, hence my leg hairs get long-- . I...
