Refusing to Take Pedialyte

My son is 8 months old and is vomiting. I have tried giving him different pedialyte flavor drinks to help reduce dehydration, but he is refusing to drink them. He did take a bottle but unfortunately that came back up after an hour. What can I give him instead or is there another way to give him pedialyte to ensure he stays hydrated?

Pedialyte and Hives

My almost 3 yr old had some Pedialyte a few days ago (first and only time she's had it). Then two days later she got hives. Has anyone else experienced this? I went online, and it is listed as a common symptom. She had them yesterday; then after the meds, they went away. Now they are back again, but in different spots. I have lots of experience with excema (she gets it alot), not so much with hives. Any advice/tips would be greatly appreciated.

Things to Hydrate a 12 Month Old Other than Pedialyte

Ok so my son HATES!!!!! HATES!! HATES!! pedialyte and he's had some stomach issues and bum issues for a while, but this past week he's had HORRIBLE diarrhea (he's on more antibiotics for another ear infection and on a laxative for severe constipation-doctor put him on it-and have since taken him off since he obviously didn't need any help with the antibiotics taking over) so i'm getting worried about his hydration. Anywho, what other things can i give him other than pedialyte? I do hold him down and use a syringe to make him take it, but...

5 Weeks Old Has Stuffy Nose and Wet Cough

Hello. My 5 week old baby has a stuffy nose and a wet cough for over a week now. I called the doctor and he said it was just because of the humidity in the house. He told me to keep the temperature in the house at 68, use Ocean Nose drops, put her in the bathroom with steam, use a humidifier, boid water, giver her water after she eats and prob her up. I have been doing all of this and nothing seems to help. I took her to the doctor 2 days ago just to make sure she wasn't sick and he said I am doing everything I should be doing, but it does...

Food Dehydrator - Any Suggestions?

Hi all - I'm thinking of buying a food dehydrator. It would be an occasional-use gadget - not something I did everyday. I would like to get something quality, but nothing industrial sized or too pricey. Any suggestions? Thanks!

Treating Diarrhea from Antibiotics

My 2yr old came down with a nasty cold with an ear infection. My pediatrician prescribed an antibiotic and 48 hours after starting, my son developed diarrhea. It got better after removing fruit and fruit juice from his diet, but it continues at least once a day. I've put him on a very bland diet with yogurt (which is what I put the medication in) and crackers, cheese puffs, and pedialyte. I've offered rice and soup, but he wants nothing to do with it. I give him the antibiotic with yogurt at breakfast and at dinner and then a yogurt...

Is Pedialyte Ok for 3 Month Old?

Hi Moms, Ok, I may be jumping the gun here, but I'll ask just in case. I'm just getting over the flu (blech) and now I'm paranoid that my 3 month old is going to get sick. I know my 3 yo has it :( >sigh< Anyway, should my baby get it, is pedialyte ok to give her? I breastfeed her. Yay! Just in time for Mother's Day! E.

Diarrhea & Awful Diaper Rash

My son has had constant diarrhea since friday. My husband and I just got over what we think was a stomach virus so we think he might have a stomach virus too. Since he is soiling diapers more frequently and getting changed more he has a bright red rash and practically jumps off the changing table. When I try to put diaper rash creme he cries harder. Do you think I need to see the pediatrician? Any suggestions on diaper changes without being so torturing for my son.

Stomach Virus or Something Else?

My 6 year old daughter has been having severe stomach pain, usually within a a few hours of eating. It gets worse at night and she has woken up the last several nights around 10pm, crying that her stomach hurts. She has vomited a few times and immediately after that she feels better. At first I thought it was constipation so we gave her a children's laxative and she has had several BM's. She does not have a fever, no diarreah, doesn't seem sick except maybe a bit more tired from the late nights. No one in her class has anything like...
