Whos House Is It Anyways?

I have a very important question: My husband and I have been married for almost 6 yrs this coming October. The house is in his name only since i was the one to move in here 3yrs before we got married. He does not want to add my name to the deed. He and his family have said this is not my house. I'm the one cleaning it, I'm the one washing clothes and dishes, cooking. I don't work because I care full-time for our 20 month old twins. This past March we almost divorced due to an incident, He go physical with me and I called the police. That's...

High Chair: to Buy or Not to Buy?

Hi Moms! My son is 7 months old and I have yet to buy him a high chair. I'm lagging on this decision because I'm not sure if I will actually need one. My husband and I have the tendeny to just go out and buy stuff (because we are excited to have a child) and not use it. The high chair we want will cost us about $200 so I want to make sure my son will use it for a while. How long do lil ones usually stay in their high chair? My son is 7 months old and weighs 18 pounds right now. Thanks for your advice.

Cleaning Service - Costs and Recommendations in San Ramon

I've never had a housekeeper clean my house before but I work full time and have infant twins so it's time. I found a great cleaner but this morning I choked on my Wheaties when she quoted me $250.00 per service for every other week on a 2200 square foot house with 2.5 bathrooms. That seems like too much to pay for house cleaning. I am crazy? Is this the average rate? She came by herself this morning. Questions: What are you paying for service and would you recommend your cleaner to me?

7 Month Old Will Crawl Any Day, and I Have an Indoor Cat....

I need advice on how to 'protect' my son from getting into kitty water, food and litter! He's about to crawl anyday now and I dont want to catch him in cat poop or litter! What are some ideas of how to handle this without rearranging my cat's life too? She's a settled in Persian, and she's quick to respond to change with discipline issues of her own. She's a very loving cat, and she loves the baby - I just know he'll go straight for her food bowl or water bowl! What to do?????

What Does the Easter Bunny Do at Your House?

So Easter is one holiday I haven't quite figured out our traditions yet. If you celebrate with the Easter Bunny, what happens in your house? What does the Easter Bunny do? Does he just deliver the baskets or does he also hide the eggs? If you have more than one child do you separate the eggs to make it even or is it every man for himself? Does he fill the eggs with candy, money, toys?? Just can't imagine him running around in the dark hiding eggs ;) Need some ideas mamas!

Would You Hold Your Kid Back a Year in School to Be with His Friends?

If your son did well in school but most of his friends were a year younger, would you hold him back to be with his friends even if his teacher and the school officials say it's a bad idea? I have two friends who are having their sons repeat fifth grade for this reason. Both boys are doing well with the curriculum, but the moms not only want them to be with friends, but they also feel the boys are not ready for middle school despite what the school officials say. I just wonder how these boys will feel when they become teenagers. Any...
