Bumpy Diaper Rash Part 2

When I took my daughter to the doctor this morning, the doctor mentioned that as well as having yeast, my daughter may also be reacting to the type of diaper I'm using. The doctor wants me to try the cream first that she prescribed, and then we can look into changing diapers if my daughter's redness doesn't clear up once the yeast is gone. I have sensitive skin like my daughter and know that I can't use very many scented products without having a problem. I used Target brand diapers to start with when she was a newborn because they were...

Potty Then Telling

I know everyone as questions about potty training, and well as a first time mommy so do I. I know there are no "right" ways of doing it, but I have a daughter who JUST turned 2, she that is very smart and is ready to be potty trianed. I have a few questions. 1. She goes potty in her pants and then tells me that she has to go...how can I get her to tell me before. 2. When I put her easy-ups (pampers verson of pull-ups) she "cheeks" break up. It's not like a diaper rash kind of break out. Do you think the cloth training pants would be...

Parents Choice Formula and Diapers.

Just curious how many of you actually buy and use Parents Choice Formula and Diapers. Currently we are using Symalac for forumula and Huggies for diapers. My husband would like to try the Parents Choice because mainly it's cheaper than what we currently buy. Just trying to get some opinions on what others think about the products. Thanks! :)

Diaper Rash Remedies

Does anyone have any good diaper rash remedies? I've tried the over the counter creams, letting her be without a diaper, longer bath time. It doesn't seem to be clearing up. It's also not getting too bad, but she's maintaining a rash. With my son I used his eczema cream & it cleared it up immediately. However, now that eczema cream has the warning "may cause cancer"...so we've stopped using it. Also on that note, does anyone have a home remedy for exzema. Thanks

Luvs Diaper Question

I was just wondering if anyone has noticed if Luvs diapers have changed at all in the last couple of months. Lately i am noticing that both my girls are wetting through their diapers at night -- not leaking but wetting through the plastic part. They are both HUGE pee-ers at night and are wearing a size 5 diaper (one child is 23lbs the other 27lbs). I tried bumping them both up to a size 6 but on top of that size being HUGE on them it didn't seem to help much. It's just odd. I am getting sick and tired of washing both sets of crib sheets...

In Home Daycare Contract

i had my daughter at an in home day care and i had signed a contract about giving a 30 day notice if i was taking my child out. and i was referred to her by a friend so thought it would be fine. But when my daughter had a runny nose she told me that if it had gotten any worse she would not be able to come because she didn't have time to keep wiping her nose. even though my daughter did not have a temperature. So i took my daughter out because if you don't want to wipe her nose than what other essential thing aren't you doing for her. also...

"Diaper Rash Cream Is Supposed to Hurt."

"Diaper rash cream is supposed to hurt." Those are the exact words from my dad.. . . Is this true???? I don't believe it, but my dad is adamant about it. My son is the point of needing to get a prescription for his diaper rash. I currently using Boudreaux's Butt Paste and it's not working. I have tried all the "natural" ways including baking soda bath, let it air out, Vaseline, chamomile tea in bath. I also have tried a little of the Up and Up diaper rash cream which is the one that is hurting my son. The second it touches his skin all...

Causes of Diaper Rash

Hi! My son recently turned one and has started having problems with developing diaper rash. Up until now, we haven't had too much of a problem with this but recently it has become an ongoing issue. I always change his diaper as soon as I know that it is soiled so I don't think this is the issue. I have talked to his peditrician about what could be causing the flare ups and was told that it could be a reaction to something that he is eating. He informed me the only way to find out which food was causing the reaction was to start all...
