Double Stroller vs Snugli Type Carrier

I am due to have my 4th child on July 3rd and am trying to figure out what form of "transportation" I want to use for the mall or park or walks etc. My youngest is going to be 22 months when this baby is born. I would like to know everyones opinions on which is better - using a Graco front to back double stroller (it would need to accomodate my Graco Snug Ride car seat) or putting the baby in a front style carrier and putting "big" sister in the stroller. My concern with having my 22 mo old walk is that she has hit this phase of wanting...

Backpack Child Carriers

I'm researching backpack child carriers and wondered what brand everyone out there likes the best. I need one that is sturdy enough to carry a child weighing 25 to 40 pounds. Usually backpacks are made for men's frames and wondered if any moms found backpack child carriers that fit a woman's frame. I already have my eye on some so I'm not looking for you to sell me one, just advice on brands that you like.

Car Seat for Airplane Travel

My daughter is 11 months old and we are looking for another convertible car seat for my husbands car (we have a Cosco Alpha Omega Elite as our primary for my car), but one that also will be able to be used on an airplane (we will be taking a trip in a few months). I know we have to look for one that is "approved for air travel", but is there one that would be universal that would work on any airline or does it really depend on the airline and the width of their seats? Also, we really would prefer not to pay more than $100 since we...

8 Month Old Who Constantly Cries

I have an 8 month old little boy. He constantly cries if I don't hold him or if he isn't around me. At the babysitter's house he cries for hours at a time. He usually cries himself to sleep. When I leave the room, he cries. If he is at the babysitters and I show up he starts screaming and crying for me. He will go to his father, but after a while he will cry for me. I started carrying him around the house in a snugli just to do everyday house work, so I don't have to listen to him scream and cry. I don't know how to stop this behavior....

Recommended Baby Items for 1St Time Momma

My husband and I are expecting our first child in July. This will be the first grandchild on both sides and his mom is dying to hit the store! She would like for us to register (which is fine) but we're not sure what to register for. Besides the obvious - crib, bedding, stroller, car seat - is there anything that you recommend? We'd like to make sure that we cover all the bases and with all the gear and gadgets out there, it can be a bit overwhelming. Thanks for your help!

Baby Carrier/Slings Recommendations

I' looking into purchasing either a baby carrier or a sling for a 4 month old. He's classified as a "high needs baby" (according to Dr. Sears) and needs to be held and kept in motion most of the time. Up until now I was holding out hope that this phase was going to pass. Now I have accepted the fact that I will need to hold him for some time yet. I currently have a Snugli but feel it isn't supportive enough. I usually hold it w/ my arm as well. Since spring is around the corner (or so I hope) I'll need another carrier or sling that is...
