What's the Problem with My Newborn??

I'm new to the mom thing, this is my first baby she is 4 weeks old. She has had really bad congestion tons of mucos in the back of her throat that started a couple of weeks ago. Nights are miserable with her trying to sleep and breathe from all the mucos. I took her to her doctor, she didn't have any answers other than she has a little cold and is fine? A cold for over 2 weeks now?? We have tried the saline drops, a humidifier, standing in a steamy bathroom, everything! NOTHING is working. She coughs, gags and chokes when she has her...

Milk Allergy or Reflux Please Help

My 6 week old has had excessive mucos in his nose and throat which has been causing him to gag for the past 4 weeks. He drinks 4 oz every 2 hours, he does not make it past 2 hours of sleep, I try to distract him when he wakes up but will scream until i give him his bottle and he acts like he is starving. 3.5 Month .do I Have to Feed Her Rice Cereal and She Is Having Troubles with Gas

My 3.5 month old girl began life with colic which lasted about 3 months. The last three weeks have been bliss not having to deal with the intense screaming. She is just moreso fussy a lot, and definitely is not colic. I tried to change things in my diet, but the only culprit I found that had any effect on her was milk alone. All other dairies were ok, but I found milk to give her diaherria. Anyways, so now she is better with colic and just started into teething. She drools constantly, chews on hand and fingers, has increased spit up,...

Best Medicine for 6 Month Old

My 6 month old has a runny nose and a cough for the third time this year. The first and second time I took her to the pediatrician she told me to give her saline drops and let it run its course. A lot of old school moms are saying no, give her Benadryl or Castor oil. What is best?

Breastfeeding and Frequent Spit Ups

My 3 1/2 month old daughter has always been sensitive to breastfeeding (what I eat), I have had a problem since the beginning with a lower milk supply. I have used mother's milk to get that boosted some and now feel that my supply is a little better. She has had problems gaining weight but has been pretty stable at gaining for the past month and a half but still at the lower portion of what she should be gaining. Because of this we were giving her supplement of formula 4 to 8 oz a day. For the past could of weeks it has only been 4 oz...

Common Cold Remedies?

Hello Everyone, I'm sure this is a common question but I wanted to ask. My 6 1/2 mo old son has the common cold. I'm still breastfeeding and after he eats he has to cough badly. He usually ends up vomiting because there is flem stuck in his throat. My main question is: How can I get rid of that flem, quickly. He isn't dehydrated and he's not vomiting the whole meal up. I have tried saline drops through the nose. His nose is also very stuffy. Can anyone help me with a good remedy that has helped them? Thank you very much!
