Any Feedback on the Evenflo AMP Booster Seat?

I moving (at a snail's pace) toward putting my 4 year old into the no back booster that he's been begging me for ever since his best friend got into one. I looked at reviews on Amazon and Babies R Us last night and people seem to like the Evenflo AMP Booster Seat. Anyone here have anything to say about having used one? My boy is almost 4-1/2, 43 inches tall and weighs about 41 Lbs.

Convertable Carseat in Small Car

We are going to need to purchase a new car seat very soon. We have a 4-door Honda Civic. It's a small car and we are worried that a convertable car seat is going to be too big. Do you have any recommendations of a smaller-sized convertable seat that you think will work for us?

Switching to a Front Facing Car Seat.

I am currently using the rear facing infant carrier, however, my son is now 6 months old and is at the height requirment to switch seats. He is still 1 lbs below the weight limit for the front facing (22lbs), and I am wondering if it is even safe to switch him yet? He still seems so young to be front facing but he can sit up on his own and when he is in his carrier he just pulls himself into a sitting position and gets angry when you have to latch him down. Plus it sure would be nice to not have to lug around the extra weight of the...

Car Seat Safety Ratings?

Hello. My daughter is nearing 10 months of age. I will be needing a new carseat after she is one year old and 20 lbs. I am wondering if anyone knows of a website that rates carseat safety by brand or something? Her safety is my #1 concern, but I have no idea how to find out which car seat is the best. Thanks for your help!

Rear Facing Car Seat

I just have a doubt after reading a news article about new suggestions for kids in car seats. I know they say to have your child rear-facing until at least 1 year old and 2 if possible. My son has been facing forward for quite a while, though. He's 10 months old and at his last doc. visit at the beginning of February he was 2.5 feet long. If I were to put him rear-facing his feet would be sitting on the head rest. How are you supposed to keep them rear-facing when they're so long? Are there car seats that sit farther from the seat back of...

Infant Car Seat vs Convertible Car Seat

I had an infant car seat given to us when my DS was born. Now that my baby's coming in 3 weeks, I've been looking at new car seats. I loved having the infant car seat so I could take my DS inside while he was still sleeping, especially when visiting family or going out to eat. But I also like the convertible car seats b/c they last much longer than the first year, so I've been considering getting one instead of the infant carrier. I'm leaning towards the infant car seat, but I keep going back and forth every time I go look at the car...
