Excema = Allergy?

Does Excema ALWAYS mean there is an allergy? My son is 6 months old and has had bad excema since about 2 months. Under my ped's advice, I use Cortisone and Aquaphor, but it's still there. It is getting a little better but nonetheless, it's still there. I don't know if it could be a milk allergy, or dust allergy. Could he develop asthma because of this? I question my ped all the time and he just says "Awww don't worry about it. If he's eating, sleeping, and playing, then he's fine." But as a Mom I am concerned. Help Mamasource! :)

She's taken him to the vet & they suggested allergy tests which will be pretty expensive. She wants to find some relief for him right now. He has little bumps under his skin & he scratches at them a lot. He seems miserable. Any ideas of some creams or something that some of you may have used on your pets that worked. Someone has suggested benydryl, but do any of you have more ideas? Thank you in advance for your...

Preschooler Allergic to Mosquito Bites?

My son is 3 years old. He always had a reaction to mosquito bites. It swells up and gets filled with pus sometimes. One time, last year, it swelled up really bad and we had to take him to the ER over the weekend. It was size of half a tennis ball. We were asked to start on antibiotics immediately, so it doesn't get infected and also use itch relief creams. Anyways, this weekend he got bit many times inspite of using bug spray. I used something that I found in walmart which did not have deet. He had a tough time with he swelling and one...
