Olives. It isn't Thanksgiving unless there is a kid running around with olives on his/her fingertips.

The day after - the world's greatest turkey sandwich - turkey, mayo, pickle relish on wheat bread. Reminds me of my Oma.

My grandmother, mother, and now myself always make a cranberry marshmallow whipped cream salad - it is super easy, super yummy and our holiday table would not be complete without it! Everyone always loves it!! I stock cranberries for the whole year!

Pumpkin pie and dressing made from scratch - and I mean scratch! The crust, bread, filling - everything! It's a messy and time-consuming chore, but for once a year, it's a labor of love.

Lynn E commented on November 10, 2009 - i love trying new things because i'm not a turkey fan. my family did cornish game hens for a couple years, which i think are just small chickens. but it was fun to have our own bird each. my extended family often does ham. try baking it in 7UP. yum!

Mashed potatoes, cranberry sauce, pickles, and recently I have added sweet potatoes to my list of Thanksgiving-must-haves.

It's not Thanksgiving (or Christmas Eve dinner) without my mom's pineapple jello salad. And her homemade fudge - heaven covered in chocolate.

My mother-in-law's amazing stuffing! Of course, the sweet potato casserole too! I could eat Thansgiving dinner year round if I didn't gain any weight!
