I love the way they smell after bath. They come running and jump in my lap smelling like soap and fresh pjs for thier good night hugs. "Good Night Mommy, I'll see you in the morning." Makes me look forward to waking up!

Now that they are teenagers my favorite bedtime activity is going to bed. I yell "Don't stay up too late, go to bed, good night," up the stairs, then I go to sleep. ("Light at the end of the tunnel" for the toddler crowd-it does get easier!)

Bedtime is one of my favorite times of the day--I love making up silly stories to make my kids laugh and talking about what's to come tomorrow. And of course, lots of hugs, kisses, and snuggles! -Meagan Francis, GoodNites Nite Lite Panel

My toddler's CRAZY bedtimer outine. Two cups of water, then a tissue to wipe her nose even tough it hasn't been runny in 6 months, then hugs, and then mommy has to put on 2 blankets with the pictures facing the right direction. Toddler OCD but I love it

Lisa B commented on September 11, 2010 - Love this! sounds like my 2 year old- We bathe, brush teeth, put on pj's, put a big blanket over him, a receiving blanket (bunched up just right) in his right arm, and his Mickey in his left arm. And then we push his glo-worm that plays lullabies. OCD!

I guess we're rough in this house! I chase the kids upstairs pretending to be a pinching monster. They squeal and scream, it's hilarious! My husband gives piggy back rides - which is definitely the preferred routine! We say goodnight with laughter.

Reading Mercer Mayer stories and relating with Critter. Singing songs while substituting the boys' names for others. Singing Disney songs and making them guess which movie it's from. Hearing, Kiss me a lot, Mommy! and covering them in smooches.

We lay in bed, snuggle...one on each side of me and watch movies. We do this almost every night for a short time. Not sure what is going to happen when the baby comes...I don't have 3 arms :)

I make my daughter lie down on her bed and tell her how beautiful she is. I ask her if she is having any issues or any worries and make her feel as if I am her best friend. Later, when she starts feeling sleepy, I start reading her a story till she sleeps

We start by picking up the house (toys, adult stuff, etc.) as a family. Then, it is off to put chickens to the coop, showers, pj's, brush teeth/hair. Then, we all sit down as a family and read out of the Keys for Kids Bible study books.

My luvbug has a few minutes to "read" a book. When done, he snuggles up to his BIG soft bunny, we pray about the day we had, ask for good dreams and then I play a few of his favorite songs on youtube. We give eachother a hug and then he closes his eyes.

We talk about our day. Since age 3 we recap what the day held. It's our chance to discuss what went well (playing in the snow!) & what didn't (you got a time-out for not listening). Now every night he insists we do this. It's helped him verbally as well!

After he has had his bath, My 6 year old Grandson and I lay down on my bed and I read him Bedtime stoies. He knows if I'd read it to him before too, he tells me "Grandma you read that already" so I go on to the next one. He falls asleep easilty too.

Its our time to "talk about stuff" he chooses the topic, letter sounds, numbers, learning Spanish, what he did in kindergarten, or something else he did that day-suddenly the child who is too busy to talk has a lot to say!

I am raising our 3 yr old Grand daughter. We have a regular routine at bedtime. First if she ate good at dinner we make a couple home baked cookies. Then she gets her favorite book (sometimes two) and we sit together in the rocking chair and read.

My kids are 20 & 23. I still kiss them goodnight and tell them I love them before going to bed if they are home. When they were little, we always said our prayers together no matter how tired I was. :)

Bedtime is story time. Both of my kids get to choose their own story, and they both also get Goodnight Moon together every night. I've read it to my daughter every night since she was 2, and now she's 6. My son loves it too. He usually sleeps with it.

We started reading to our kids when they were babies. I loved sitting together in a big chair with whatever favorite stuffed animal or blanket was a bedtime favorite, talking about the story or the pictures. It was so relaxing I often drifted off myself!

Family hug! After bath, pjs and teeth brushing, my husband, kids and I have a group hug and then everyone gets a good night kiss. As soon as they get their pjs on the kids will start yelling family hug but the rule is its the last thing before bed.

Our 5 yr old puts her pjs on, brushes her teeth, flosses and goes potty. Daddy and I go in her room and talk with her a little bit, give big hugs and kisses. Daddy says a prayer, we give her a sip of water, and put on a cd with Bible stories on for her.

My husband carries our 7 yr old like a superhero so she can fly to her bed! Or I pretend to be the tickle monster while she squeals and runs to her bed! Then story time followed by sweetest little kisses and hugs imaginable.
