Learn to love chaos. Let go of any need or desire for a "perfect" house. Provide lots of opportunities for them to run and play. Learn the difference between providing a safe environment and "hovering." Give them a little room to make mistakes.

Be consistent in discipline (firm but gentle), consistent in routines like nap time, prayers, meal start time, etc,. Give lots of physical examples of your love (hugs, kisses, back rubs, holding hands). Give them a chore that lets them contribute.

My boys love to be LOUD! So, since we have "quiet time" every day, I will also designate a "loud time" on days when they can't go outside and holler to their hearts content. It gives them the chance to let it out and it has a time limit on it!

Boys are sexually attracted to dirt and that's OK. I swear, my boys gravitate towards mud puddles, even when there is a better way around. but its OK. Dirt washes off, and they are happy in it. This equals some time to sit and read or update facebook!

- Don't take things away from him it just makes it worst. I have a 13yr who I have add to keep my eye on since 2nd grade. At this point I have him take out his homework and read it out loud to me while I'm cooking dinner he gets it done in 1/2hr.
Learn to love everything boy related-Legos, video games, loud toys, and pretty much anything physical and outside. Teach and initiate loving gestures, kisses, hugs, saying "I'm sorry" and being compassionate and empathetic.
