Internet safety and responsibility begins at home and we need to be monitoring our children's online activities. Open, honest, age appropriate communication is a big factor in making sure that children of all ages are aware of the dangers online.

Okay, don't watch this with the kids around, but I like John Stewart's take on it. http://www.thedailyshow.com/watch/thu-march-4-2010/tech-talch---chatroulette

Nonnia M commented on March 11, 2010 - Thanks for sharing this clip Scarlett. I laughed watching it, but was so glad he decided to feature. Made a lot of people aware in a way they might "get" I hate that things like chatroulette exist & I hope it's gone SOON.

My brother is a registered sex offender who is very savvy when it comes to sites like this. These sites are the perfect place for pedophiles. Your kid may think he/she is talking to another 16 or 18year old, it commonly is a 40 or 50yr old pedophile.

YES YES YES WORRY! Have you ever been to that site? It is video chat and there are some very strange sexual things going on there. No kids should ever be exposed to what that site has on it.

being from a family of peolice officers, I have seen them after a child has been injured from one of these"innocentchats" the effect on them is profound. Why would anyone want to endanger their child by not being aware of what is going on with computer!
