Yeah! I adopted domestically and the agency told us he is Hispanic & Caucasian, HOWEVER, when his hair grew into a full Afro, we think that maybe there is more to the story...BUT we can't love him any more and he does bring something new to our culture...

Diana G commented on March 31, 2010 - It is entirely normal for a baby of hispanic decent to have afro textured hair. A hispanic background can be a blend of mny different races(white, african, asian etc) and still be considered hispanic.

- I'm hispanic and I know there are some hispanics with very curly hair out there! But his hair shouldn't bother you, after all he is a human being like you guys. Glad you love him lots!!

- Also as you can see on my profile picture, all four are my biological children! I love them lots. My two oldest are half mexican/half black(mix with white) from my previous marriage and the twins boy/girl are of course half mexican and half white.
Camille commented on June 15, 2010 - I'm an Asian and my partner is a Kiwi. Our son has a dark brown colored hair but his skin is white. I have other children from previous marriage and they're all Asian. They love & protect each other & I don't see any problem with their relationship.

Abm . commented on June 16, 2010 - My kids are, Irish, Scotish, German, Norwegian, dutch, and English and a little bit of indian(and probably more that I am unaware of). Aren't we all mixed race? I think people make a bigger deal out of race than need be.
Rosie W commented on June 25, 2010 - I tend to agree. My children are also Hispanic and Caucasian. We've never really made it a main focus in our lives. Too many other things to focus on in life. We believe our nationality is American and our Ethnicity is Hispanic and Caucasian.

- It doesn't matter what race a child is, you love that child unconditionally! God does not see 'color'. If your adopted son grew an afro, so what! In case you didn't know, there are Hispanics with afros. My children are black/hispanic, they are my world!
My daughter is half caucasian half asian.

F S commented on June 15, 2010 - My son is half Italian and half Black and I honestly cannot go anywhere without people always telling me how beautiful he is. If when he gets older and ever questions why his parents I wll tell him because he is the best of both worlds!!!

F S commented on June 15, 2010 - I don't know why my computer is acting funny but what I was saying in the above post was...If my son ever questions why his parents are different colors...Etc. :)
Mum4ever♫ commented on September 6, 2010 - My 2 youngest children are 1/2 Korean (hubby) and 1/2 German/Swedish (mom). People go out of there way all the time to tell us how exotic and beautiful they are. They both have thick, wavy auburn hair, olive eyes, light skin, and very subtle Asian eyes.
My daughters are half African American and Half Hispanic. I try to give them a good balance of where they come from so they can be proud of each of their cultures and become very well blended young women.

- My two older chilren are hisp/blk. My toddler twins (boy/girl), are hisp/white. The older kids are so connected and adore their little siblings. Sharing different cultures & being proud of who they are, made them well balanced & appreciate other cultures.
My daughter is half Korean (me) and half Caucasian (hubby). The only thing I've noticed at this age is everyone knows I'm her Mommy when I pick her up at preschool (she's the only Asian-ish looking kid) :-)

- I am Africian American and my daughter's father is El Salvadorian. Although with the exception of her hair it is not that obvious that she is bi -racial. Elementry school was challenging, however since then she has had no problems socially
My kids are half polish, half filipino. But since my oldest isn't even 2, we haven't had any "race" issues or discussions. I don't think she's even noticed that she's a different color than her other cousins. What do you want to know?

My husband is bi-racial. Our oldest looks like him, while our two youngest look more like Casper! We can see people trying to figure out a family timeline each time we go out in public.

Our daughter is Filipina, Mexican, Jewish, Scottish, Irish and Swedish. She looks very mixed, like you can't quite tell what she is...though she looks like I did as a baby, but also just like her daddy.
