I CAN wait...wait for everything because every moment seems so go to fast!!!!!!!!I don't want time to go any faster...so I just want to enjoy what is today and I'll just wait for anything else.

Katie L commented on February 20, 2010 - I wish I had thought this when my kids were tiny. They're 8 and 6 now, and time if FLYING! When you first have a baby there is a reason people tell you to enjoy it because it goes too fast.
Amy K commented on February 20, 2010 - Yes, yes, yes!
Mallory P commented on February 20, 2010 - Totally agree with Katie. My boys are 8 and 5 and have passed most of the milestones that everyone mentioned. I truly regret "wishing" their little childhoods away now. They are becoming so independent(as they should)I am holding onto every moment now.

3kidsunder3 commented on February 20, 2010 - My 2 boys are almost three and they have autism. Because of that they don't have a vocabulary. They finally started saying 'mama', but I am looking forward to hearing, 'I love you!'

Jj J commented on February 9, 2011 - I can wait as well. My kids grow so fast. My son is ten and he's pretty much on his own-- I miss those times when he clings on me and was very dependent. So now I have a 2 yr old daughter truly enjoying every precious moments with her.

- I completely agree. Every moment is precious and it seems every moment is fleeting. It's fun, however, to dream into the future and think of the wonderful things your child will achieve at different milstones. Savor every moment. I invested in a videocam!

- My 3 yr old "helps" now. He wants to so I let him pull up a stool and stand there with me and help cook eggs or brown hamburger. He has never been burned and understands that you don't touch the hot skillet. And the look of pride on his face is precious

Can't wait for her to be old enough to go to school full time and have after school activities and go to sleep overs and things... Enough big kid activities that I get more "me time" and time with my husband... but not SO BIG that she is a grown up, :)
Can sit down and do his homework on his own without needing much guidance or motivation.

To understand when I tell them to never, ever have kids. The little moments of joy are not worth years of frustration and throwing one's life away.

- Wow. Sorry you feel that way. I definitely don't think I'm throwing my life away by raising my kids. I believe I am helping make a better next generation. Too bad for your kids.
Shannon M commented on February 28, 2011 - Wow I can't imagine feeling this way about my son.Its so cliche but hes the best thing that ever happened to me.Like, I don't care if he only slept 2 hours last night &pooped through his outfit twice because when he smiled at me all was right in the world
Shannon M commented on February 28, 2011 - The moments of joy, no matter how little (even a simple smile) WAY out weigh the moment of frustration. It really makes me sad you feel like this and honestly it pretty much disgusts me. Man those are yous kids. Are you serious?
