More than I ever thought they would. I originally thought they would watch little to none. However, dinner and lunch has to get cooked sometime.

No TV allowed! She is almost 4months old and we know the studies, not worth it!

Debbie C commented on March 18, 2010 - We didn't do any TV until 2 yrs old (as the American Academy of Pediatrics recommends) and now that our guy is 2, we limit it to 1/2 hour/day. Many days we watch none. We read lots of books and play with toys and outside. Imagination & activity is good

SA Mamma H commented on March 26, 2010 - We have never owned a television. We have a netflix account and occasionally they are allowed to watch movies, but not often. They are not desensitized to violence and emotional turmoil, so we can't see many movies in theater, either.

- We have limited a great deal. There is no good in TV. Even cartoons are violent. We have encouraged imaginative and active play. My son has sensory issues so, we use the trampoline almost everyday.

Shannon B commented on March 11, 2010 - She watches it in intervals...like in the morning or at night after her shower. It's always a part of a disnet movie or noggin (now known as Nick Jr.)

On school days - none. Weekends, 1 1/2 hours, not all at one time. Summer, 1 1/2 hours a day - 3 half hour shows. Saturday mornings - unlimited until we get up. If it is nice outside, none.

I never kept track of the number of minutes my daughter watched, just made sure she had a good mix of tv and other activities.

Now that school has started for my kindergardener and my preschooler, I find it that they are less interested in tv... They might just watch 1 hr a day if that... I have a harder time keeping them off the iPhone and iPad !

In our home not much. We do not have cable on purpose. Our children watch videos and we try to monitor their time on the internet.
