I love Melaleuca products. All are green infact they have the only EPA Recognized all natural disinfectant! Uses the herb thyme and citric acid. I love this botanical disinfectant. Their crackers and cereal are made with organic ingredients. Yum, yum

Baking soda - I use this to clean the bath tub, clear clogged drains, deep clean my hair of shampoo build up, clean hair brushes, ...

In 1956, living in harmony with nature and good health was not in vogue, but my favorite safe nontoxic biodegradable cleaners and personal care products were showing folks how to do just that. Thanks to Shaklee for keeping our family healthy for 37 years

Dr. Bronner's liquid soaps- what "can't" you clean with these? In the shower, as a shampoo, for the dog's bath, around the house cleaning... and I've only scratched the surface. I especially like the peppermint which tingles in the shower- hello!

I'll second the baking soda, and add vinegar. It cleans great and kills germs as well as bleach. But the best is: no products! Buy less stuff; you can't buy your way to "green."

Seventh Generation makes cleaning products (laundry detergent that smells like lavender, fabric softner, dish soap, etc...) as well as feminine hygene products (with no chemicals or bleach). I've found them at Whole Foods, Target, etc... I love them!!!

Shaklee get clean products; shaklee supplements - I replaced my prenatal vitamin with Shaklee and stopped getting sick right away. I also use their toothpaste, makeup, baby vitamins. If you have ever done the Flinstone test you will never use them again

Cloth diapers! I am always amazed at how people will try to eat organic, not use parabens, and then put these chemical-filled contraptions on their babies! If it has sodium polyacrylate (all but Tushies do) it's bad! Cloth is not as bad as you think!

Arbonne products! This year marks Arbonne's 30th birthday! Arbonne was green before green was in!

I vote for things that are actually all natural and have no man-made or synthetic chemicals in them. Baking soda, real essential oils, sea salt, lemon juice, vinegar, Dr. Bronner's, Safer soaps. Melalueca does not even sorta fall into this category!!!

White vinegar. I dilute w/ water in a spray bottle to clean parquet and tile floors, windows, mirrors, cabinets...and when my 2-year-old wants to help clean (which I heartily encourage!) and ends up spritzing herself or the dog, I know it's harmless!!

Costco now sells Ecos laundry detergent and their won brand of non-toxic cleaners, dish soap, etc. It makes cleaning a lot more economical and I like it just as much as the 7th Generation and shaklee.

I have to agree with Vicki S. Melaleuca by far has the best GREEN products you can buy. From wonderful household cleaners that save you money to a bath and beauty line that has something for the whole family to use.

Less is more, with laundry, or household cleaning a minimal amount is needed. My choice is the GET CLEAN line from Shaklee. You can get everything you need for home. We live on a lake and know it is safe to use on the boats. Fragrance free products too!

Distilled White Vinegar and Baking Soda...I've replaced ALL of my household cleaners with these two ingredients along with a drop or two of tea tree oil, my house is cleaner and safer for my family, not to mention the money savings!

Lemongrass Spa Products. They make scrumptious products for face and body using natural products (some are organic). This is one of those companies where when you read the ingredients you don't need a chemistry degree to understand. www.lemongrassspa.com

Young Living! Therapeutic Grade line of products, toxic chemical free from their toothpaste to shampoo, as well as a household cleaner that is safe enough to ingest (if it were to happen).

Shaklee also has great skin care and pure, safe effective supplements with extensive testing to ensure no contaminants and peer-reviewed medical research to ensure effectiveness. I also use doTerra essential oils to make a natural disinfecting spray.

Thieves (from Young Living) great cleaner. For stuffy noses their diffuser with peppermint is wonderful.

I love vinegar and baking soda for cleaning, and use microfiber or hemp cleaning cloths. They work great and I rarely use papertowels.

Vinegar cleans germs and bacteria. Deodorizes. Add baking soda and scours sinks, tubs and toilets. Cleans hardwood floors.Pour on your kitchen faucet and watch the gunk disappear. Polishes metals when mixed with cream of tartar. Removes stains & grease.

I love vinegar for cleaning, softening clothes in the wash, carpet stains, pet odors. I have it in a spray bottle in my kitchen. Did you know vinegar is as effective as bleach at killing e-coli but it doesn't have harsh fumes and is safe around food.

Baking soda and vinegar to clean and vinegar as a fabric softener. Organic olive oil and coconut oil as a moisturizer for the face and body. Vaseline for dry hands and as an eye makeup remover. Avocado as a hair mask for luscious locks!

I have a vapor steam cleaner. Not the Shark . It's the Reliable E3. I use tap water and it heat to 220 degrees. It cleans all the surfaces in my home and it kills mold, dust mites, etc. as well as disinfects. I don't use any chemicals, just H2O.

The "Diva Cup" instead of tampons... sounds a bit strange at first, but it's re-usable for up to a year, saves a ton of money on tampons, and eliminates all of the landfill and waste from tampons... Have used it for about a year and I won't go back.

Vinegar - I have chased out ants for years by pouring down vinegar rather than using pesticides. We have the tiny ants that come in by hundreds when it rains. First you have to wipe them up (gross but not any better after killing with pesticide).

Dropps Laundry Detergent and Crunchy Clean Laundry Detergent. Both of these products are VERY eco-friendly and do a great job cleaning my kids' stinky clothes!

One of the founders of Seventh Generation cleaning products, which are already good for the environment, said that we don't need to use any laundry soap. Since then, I've stopped using it. I sometimes use baking soda and peroxide. My clothes smell great!

One thing to watch for in products is parabens. That is being linked to breast cancer. There is a shampoo and conditioner I have used & you can buy it at Rite Aid or Target, it's called "Say Yes to Carrots". "Origins" has great face products.

Sensaria Natural Bodycare has great products for those that are sensitive to most ingredients. The company has a Citrus Cleaner that was its first product back in the 70's and was sold in health food stores. Check out the jojoba products for the skin!

I just purchased a new set of cookware from Salad Master. It does not leach toxic metals into the food, and cooks at low temps to keep a higher value of nutrients in the food. I consider it "green" by cutting the use of gas and no toxic fumes emitted.

I love the melaleuca products. The cleaners are safe and work better than any other cleaners including toxic bleach that cost less than the stores. I used to have asthma by switching my products I am off all meds for 3 years! I love all their products.

Shaklee products are the best natural products on the market. I know I can trust the products because when they say they do clinical trials and test all the ingredients in their products, they mean it!

Melaluca is good, but some of their hair and face products do contain parabens, just check the ingredients. Origins is sold online or at Macy's, they have great face products without parabens and whole bunch of other things not good for us.

The best thing we use is....elbow grease. It only takes a litter extra effort to clean almost anything with plain water. We sweep the floor and use a steamer to get the floors super clean. For stubborn greasy stuff, we use a little organic dish soap.

Melaleuca! I have been shopping with them for 18 years this month. I honestly know the products work better and are less money than store healthy brands-better/less than national brands, too; they have been green for 25 yrs - saves so much time!

I adore the dishwasher powder from Seventh Generation. I buy the unscented, and it is strong enough to use only half as much as a traditional brand. The dishes are sparkling clean, and I don't have to worry about the nasty chemicals or smell fragrances.

Whatever you use, use 1/3 of the recommended dosage. It usually is enough to break up the structure of the soil (volatile) from the fabric (not volatile). If not use 1/2 for the tough stuff. They tell you high doses so they can sell more bottles/boxes
