Peekaboo Barn is great for little ones too! My daugher just turned one and this is a great app for her age group.

Toddler Teasers is worth purchasing full version--different settings allow either my 5 year old to quiz her letters, numbers, etc. OR my 2 year old to quiz her colors and shapes. Others have mentioned Animatch, which my 5 year old likes a lot.

We love this great new app for audio stories ... Tales2Go. My boys (8 & 4) ask for it in carpool (no more bickering), during breakfast, etc. It's books on tape, but streamed on-demand to your iPhone. Bonus: they don't bug me for TV anymore!!!!

We like "The Wheels on the Bus" app. You can open and shut the doors, swish the wipers, make the wheels go faster or slower, etc. It's really fun.

A big hit at our house is Neon Doodle. Kids can make pictures using bright neon colors then shake the screen to erase them. Best of all if you like the doodle you can save it and even email your doodle to grandma. It's by Rocknthesweater.

I just recently downloaded Doodle buddy and the kids just love it. They can play together on different iphone / ipod devices and so far have been really enjoying it. I also have fun creating fun doodles.

For learning, my kids love The Learning Touch application "First Words" (we just have the lite version, but will be buying the full version soon). For fun they like appsnminded's "Elephant Song" (I like this one too, it's a cute song to sing in the car).

Has anyone tried the new app--I think it just came out--Tales2Go? It's different than the other audio things we have tried because it's streaming kids stories--unlimited for $24 a YEAR. But my kids won't give my iphone back, and they are mesmerized.

My daughter is almost 4 and likes Itsy Bitsy Spider. It's appropriate for younger kids too, mainly just an exploration app where things move and act out parts of the song. There are a few game like features to it too. It's very cute.

My 3 yo daughter loves Monkey Preschool Lunchbox, which is free and allows her to do puzzles, play Memory, count, recognize colors, practice letters, and receive a reward (i.e. choose a "sticker" to place on a bulletin board). She loves it!

We love the FREE Rush Hour app! It's a great problem solving game. We have the "board" game version from Discovery Toys, but the app is great! It counts the # of moves you use to solve it & shows the # it should take. You can try again to beat your score.

A bit of shameless promotion here, but my hubby wrote an App called Drop It! Our 3-year-old and his 2-4-year-old friends seem to love it. It's kind of addictive. It's a very simple game. Even adults have a bit of trouble giving it back to their toddlers.

My 3 yo daughter loves Monkey Preschool Lunchbox, which is free and allows her to do puzzles, play Memory, count, recognize colors, practice letters, and receive a reward (i.e. choose a "sticker" to place on a bulletin board). She loves it!

A bit of shameless promotion here, but my hubby wrote an App called Drop It! Our 3-year-old and his 2-4-year-old friends seem to love it. It's kind of addictive. It's a very simple game. Even adults have a bit of trouble giving it back to their toddlers.
