We like to sit on a patio in the late afternoon or early evening and drink Margaritas. Maybe theres music. Chips and Salsa. It's a lovely relaxing way to sit and talk to each other.

We like to have dinner at an adult restaraunt where we can finish a sentence and linger. Then we like to peruse through WalMart or Target to actually look at things without whining and begging kids around and dream about what we would buy if we had $$.

We have so many great swanky restaurants here and we never get to go anymore, so on a date night we "appetizer hop." Pick 4-5 restaurants in walking distance, get an app and drink at each. Finish with dessert at the last stop. May need to cab home so plan

This weekend DH and I are trying something new for us. We're going to a local ceramics store and painting each other an item. I'm going to paint him a bowl, and I'm really hoping he paints me a coffee cup! Fun, innexpensive, and you get great keepsakes!

After years of really living it up on date night, at expensive restaurants and clubs, and shows,we have come to the conclusion that our best date nights are like the ones we had when we had no money. We go to the beach with a blanket and a bottle of wine.

When our baby was very little and we nursing, we love going to the drive-in! No worries about (mommy) exposure, crying, etc. and when she fell asleep we just popped her in the carseat. AND it's cheap!!

hehehe- romantic dinner at a nice restaurant (the kind you'd never take a two year old to!) And then a couple drinks at a sleazy bar with the loud music you'd never let a two year old hear! hahaha... Cab back home afterward for a movie!

Indian food & a movie, drinks after at home. Or light snack, going to a club/bar & afterwards picking up some munchie stuff & eating it at home while we cuddle & watch something silly on TV. And always ending the night with love making :) Both are our fav

We try to get out to a comedy club on occasion... It's something we did a lot before I got pregnant... and when we have the money and a babysitter we really look forward to it. It's nice to take a break and LAUGH...

My husband and I went to the Dallas Museum of Art and watched the Jazz concert on Thursday nights. W e ate dinner there at the museum, had a few glasses of wine then walked around for an hour after the concert. Then drove over and stayed at the Hilton.

Play frisbee at the park. Date night is a good time to go to parks near water, since going there with little kids tends to be rather stressful (keeping the wandering toddler from falling in the water). Take a picnic or just buy milk shakes on the way.

We go to a restaurant with adult cuisine-- no burgers or chicken fingers! It's amazing to eat a meal at a leisurely pace & actually finish a sentence without being interrupted. Or we might go shopping &then hang out at a coffee shop to talk & hold hands.

http://www.simplymodernmom.com/category/project-52/ I found this blog with 52 date night ideas, so it helps boost the creativity. We like to make something together, like puppets, then have a puppet show or something goofy and out of the ordinary.

Walk on the beach - it's nice to get out of the house, seethe sun set, hold hands and chat to remember why we love each other so much. Then we sit down and cuddle, and then go eat at a nearby restaurant. Bliss.

My hubby and I grab our fav take out. Then we drive to the coast of malibu where we park the car, turn on some slow jams, eat, watch the waves roll, hear and smell the ocean breeze, and enjoy the alone time. The kids even enjoy this.

We get on the email lists of restaurants or sign up for their birthday clubs. Tucanos, for instance, will send you a birthday card for a free meal with the purchase of another. We get to eat at a nicer restaurant for the price of a less expensive one.

There's a theatre in Palo Alto (Stanford Theatre) that plays classic movies from the 30's-50's during the summers. They play double features and you can get into both for half the price of a regular movie ticket!

We put the kiddo to bed and get a movie "on demand", some snacks, and snuggle up on the couch. It's great because we can get in our jammies an be comfy, and also not have to worry about finding a babysitter! :)
